Video Card Beep Error - Windows Fails To Load

Last night my comp was making a loud beeping noise and it turned out to be my video card. So i boot it up, get all the screens and it eventually hits the windows screen with the options of safe mode, last known configuration that worked, and run windows normally. The problem is no matter which one i pick (done them all several times) it always does the same thing. The window logo screen loads where the little blue bar travels across below the logo usually meaning windows is starting up, but everytime it has that screen for about 15 seconds then a quick flash of the blue screen of death and my computer resets and does the whole process again?

Error: Lsass.exe Failed To Load - Windows Xp Start Up Problem

I got xp start up problem, when boot up the computer and after the xp splash screen i get an error reading "lsass.exe failed to load, could not find the file dnsapi.dll, reinstallation of this will fix problem"

What do i do? I tried a repair with the windows installation cd but it says i don't have any hard drives installed! Also tried to copy this dnsapi.dll file from a dos boot but it couldn't find the c:! If my computer says it can't find hd, but it's getting past the xp splash screen, i'm so perplexed.

Video Card Failed To Initialize Error

My sons 9700 pro died so i just replaced it with an 1650 pro. Cleared out old drivers. Installed new ones. Now he can't get games to play. The screen is wavy whenever i go on the internet as well. Can't figure this one out. Any ideas?

It's an old 939 system/win xp/350 watt psu.

Usb Card Registry Error With Windows 98se

I recently purchased a usb 2. 0 card. It is a startech 4-port usb 2. 0 pci card. The model number is pci425usb. I installed the card, with updated drivers from the site, and everything seemed to be working fine, until windows booted. When all of the start up programs were starting i recieved many errors. The one that i remember, and the most serious one, is that windows registry encountered and error and that i had to reboot to fix it. I rebooted and got trapped in an endless cycle of this. In the end i removed the card and everything worked fine. I would like to be able to use the card with windows 98se.

Failed To Load Detection Driver - Error

I would load windows vista and get a bsod with the failure registering in an atixxx.dll . I figured it was a driver error so i tried reinstalling my drivers. I did a driver sweep and started up the install.exe. Halfway through, the install would either crash my entire system or i would get a "failed to load detection driver" error. Very frustrating. Last night, i reinstalled vista. Drastic, i know. I installed all of the updates. I then tried to reinstall the ccc package. Same error! I looked online for some fixes. This one:

Seemed promising but didn't work for me. I don't know what else to do. Any ideas? I might end up selling my 4870 and buying a nvidia product just to avoid this issue.

Error - Could Not Load File Or Assembly Cli Implementation

I keep getting an error:

I have already searched this website for the fix to this

Before you ask, i have installed .net 2. 0, 3. 0 and even 2. 0. 50727, i have also downloaded and installed drivers:

7-6_xp_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_48640.exe

Am i missing something? This *** me off because dell didnt send us any instructions or even the box the card was supposed to come with.

No Post Beep Or Video

Recently my pc froze and when i reset it, no post beep and no video (no visual bios) or even beep codes. The power supply comes on and the drives are operational. It will stay like that for awhile. We cleaned the inside. Is it a virus issure or ram or what? We did nothing to disturb the comp. No new software or files. The only thing that might have provoked this was the fact i was running spybot and and switched users on xp and that might have taken cpu.

Pc Has No Video Signal - No Beep Codes Or Tones

I have been trying for several days now to update one of my systems to a newer more powerful one. In both cases i was having similar problems. The first motherboard was an fic 1st mainboard k7 ati at31 fusion and i was using 256 ddr and a 1800 amdxp, it had the ati video built in on the board. Case and powersuppy were both genuine antec 300 watt ps. With this system initally i could get no power at all then after installing and reinstalling it powered up but would give me no video signal. Nothing to the monitor so i could not even adjust the bios or setup. I returned the above to frys and got a second motherboard of different type, an albatron kx400+ pro 8235 via kt333 and a new amd duron 1300 1. 3 ghz cpu. Placed these in a second new antec slk2600amb super mini tower case with antec 300 watt ps. At first it wouldn't power up either. Then it slowly started coming to life. Sometimes it would cycle on and off. Power to the drives floppy, hd, cd and dvd works until you connect the ribbon cables. Then they don't work at all. Video signal never does appear. No beep codes or tones. My suspiciion is that either 300 watts isn't powerful enough or the 256 of ddr memory is somehow faulty. But i now have tried this with two different motherboards from different manufacturers and the only common denominators is the same ram ddr memory and the similar yet different powersupplys from antec. In both systems i an unable to get any video signal. In one the video was built onto the motherboard and in the other i was using an aurora nvidia geforce 2 mx200 agp slot card. I am trying to update this system which is running windows me without going to xp at the moment. I need to use the same hard drive which already has all my data and programs installed.

Unable To Load Windows, Partial New Install

During bootup, case lights come on, including blue cathodes, fans, etc, i get no beep codes, the screen initially flashes the indentity of the vid card installed, then goes to intell splash page, then to the unable to load windows screen with many options such as boot in normal mode, safe mode, etc.computer specifications:

Mobo - intel 865perl (new)
Cpu - intel p4 2. 4c boxed (new)
Memory- corsair 3200 ddr 1024mb twinx dual channel (new) (1 stick each installed in channel a raid 0, channel b raid 0). Video - gainward geforce fx5600 128mb ddr, ultra 760 tv/dvi. (New). Hard drive - wd 40gb
Power supply - icute 430watt (new). Only things on mobo right now are cpu, mem, video card. Board has current bios (verified on intel site). In bios, verified cpu, memory, etc. I've had problems with "no signal" on other builds, but those were memory problems. The twin corsair sticks are installed properly, 1 in channel a raid0 and the other in channel b raid0. The bios recognizes them (1024mb) as well. Any ideas on why i can't get the os to load?

Laptop Won't Load Windows Xp

Yesterday i dropped my laptop (ah!) On a hardwood floor. I have a toshiba satellite m100/m105. As soon as it dropped the screen went black and basically the power to it went out. This worried me, but then i just pressed the power button on the computer and it restarted and seemed to work fine! Until i restarted my computer again today because the internet was locked up. Anyway, so i restarted and a black screen came up that said windows was unable to load correctly and to run windows as normal, run in safe mode, run how it was run last time it run correctly, etc. And i chose each of these options at least once and each time it brought me back to the same black screen. I'm not sure if it is a software or hardware issue or if it even has anything to do with me dropping my laptop yesterday. Does any one know what i should do? Should i check to see if it's hardware related before i run a system repair? Should i bring it in to a professional and have them look to see if it's a hardware problem or is there a way i could check for "lose connections"?

Computer Is Shutting Off During The Windows Load Screen

So i ended up upgrading to an amd x2 6000 and getting an hd4850 as well. Windows 7 was also installed by a friend on my computer. However, my computer is shutting off during the windows load screen at the same time, like right after the windows colors icon forms together and glows or whatever. I have an antec 650w truepower power supply that is maybe 3 years old at the most. Also, i have been monitoring the watts and they are all stable and all less than . 20 different than the norm or whatever each thing is supposed to be.could the ram i bought be bad and is shutting down the computer? Temperatures are all fine as well. I just find it weird that it turns off during the exact same time but will sometimes randomly let me get to windows if i keep trying. A fast response would be appreciated, especially if it is possibly bad ram since i think the last day to exchange it at frys is today for me.

Asus A8n-e Boot Problem (beep Error Code)

I've been running xp on a asus a8n-e motherboard for a good while without any problems. The other day i replaced my hiper type r 580w psu with a corsair hx 520w, and now the pc won't boot and beeps 1 long followed by 3 short. I've stripped it down to bare essentials (motherboard, vc, memory and cpu) but i get the same problem. The problem also persist when i reconnect the hiper psu. 1. Reseating everything. 2. Using any possible combination of memory stick(s) and slots. 3. Resetting the cmos. The rest of the pc is as per sig, with the exception for vista which will be installed when (if!?) I can sort this.

Windows Randomly Lock Up, Act As If Cpu Is Under 100% Load

I'll spare you the details, but my machine has become unstable recently. I was overclocking recently but one of these issues persisted before the oc. Since it's got weird my pc has gone back to stock settings which haven't fixed anything. Windows will randomly lock up, and act as if the cpu is under 100% load. It isn't. The pc will now poweroff after shutdown. The monitor switches off but the power/fan run to the cpu. When trying to image my c: drive to a backup it will always fail. I got a bsod last night trying this. I've ran chkdsk a few times and everytime it has found and "repaired" bad sectors. I booted into ms memory ram checker, no errors, the comp can still play games fine when i first boot up, it's afterwards thing get flaky, my os hard drive is pretty old, which is why i targeted that first. I've seen some abnormal temps coming from there in the past. How do i test psu to elimate that from the equation?

Computer Freezes On Boot - Long Time To Load Windows

I was having issues with a game of mine hard locking my pc. The only way to get out of it was to hold down the power button and force the pc to power down, then boot back up. Trying to trouble shoot the game, this happened several times. Then, it started freezing on the memory test. It's not really freezing, though - if i leave it sit for a very long time ( 5 to ten minutes ), it will eventually boot into windows. Any ideas?

Two Tone Beep On Startup And Freezing At Windows Screen

I am fixing a computer for a friend. He installed a new video card and power supply. He got an error that said to "run the card at a low setting or upgrade the bios" (what he said). So he upgraded the bios. When he did this the computer started giving a continuous two tone beep after the normal single bios beep and would not get past the windows is starting screen. I booted the comp with the winxp disk and used the 'r' choice. And just did a system scan in dos. This caused the freezing to happen when the background appeared but nothing else. It also started saying that i needed to register that copy of windows xp. The time from the windows start screen to the background appearing is very long, about 1-2 minutes the rest of the startup looks normal. I have also tried to switch out the power supply (to a higher wattage), change the ram, change back to the original video card, reset the bios, reinstall the bios. Nothing works. The only thing i can figure is that it is a cpu, motherboard problem or something with the bios i am not getting. The cpu is not running hot according to the bios and there is no speed restriction, afaict, on the fan. It just lists its rpms. 3 of the motherboard capacitors have leaked slightly from the top at sometime in the past. Does this mean it is the motherboard and the bios change was just a coincidence?

I have encountered a problem when installing windows xp on a bare system. It starts up fine, then loads into the windows blue screen, checking for hardware configuration, but then upon windows startup, it stops and announces an error. Stop: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0x80840a02, 0xf78d205c, 0xf78d1d58). Any advice as to what to do would be helpful, i believe the problem to be either having the cpu been installed (physically) but no drivers yet in place or something to do with the hdd configuration.

Integrated Video Card Can Use Ram As Video Memory?

I want to know more about my video card(intel integrated extreme graphics 2 [circa 2003]) cause i don't understand, i tried googling for a while with no result:

1) how much exactly video memory does it have?

2) i heard that if it's integrated, i can go to the bios and make ram be shared with my video memory in case my video ram isn't enough? Is that true? Is that true with my integrated card too?

3) i'm of course going to buy a video card(agp type) capable of handling at least pixel shader 2. 0. If question 2 is "yes", can the new graphic card also be shared to use ram if necessary?

Depending if my integrated video card can use ram as video memory, this will help me decide whether i should get more ram or an agp video card that has a lot of video ram

Cd Rw Drive Fails To Initialize

I am having a wierd problem with my msi 52x cd-rw. I just upgraded my cpu, mb, and ram to a athlon 64 3200+, asus k8v - deluxe, and 1gb corsair mem. Everything else i re-used from the old system, msi 52x cd-rw, plextor dvd-rw, maxtro 120gb hd, maxtor 60 gb hd, aiw 9700 pro. Let me tell ya what, this setup eats apps for breakfast. Very fast. Ok, here is the problem. When i try to burn using the msi 52x with nero or alcohol 120%, the drive failes to initialize. Currently, the msi drive is set to master on the the secondary ide channel. Here is what i have tried so far. Msi as slave on the primary ide channel. No worky
Msi as master on the primary ide channel. No worky
Msi as the slave on secondary ide channel. No worky
Msi as master on secondary ide channel. No worky (current config)

This is very frustrating, the drive worked fine in my previous setup. (Abit mb) any suggestions?

Hard Drive Fails To Boot

I have a diamondmax plus 9 which i store in an external case and it connects to my computer through usb port. It currently has 2 partitions on it. Ever since i made a third partition on it: ntfs 32k cluster size, it has seemed to have screwed up and fails to boot each time. How do i stop the 3rd partition from booting up or get rid of the 3rd partition without affecting the other 2 because of valuable data?

Installer Fails With Vs 2008 Express Installed

This problem still exists in windows 7 x64 and ran in to it last night again. The ati cat driver install and uninstall fails, the installer extracts the files no problem, runs the actual installer file and you go through the first few steps, then the installer window just disappears and windows pops up an error saying the installer didn't finish correctly would you like to reinstall with recommended settings, which also fails. I've narrowed it down to visual studio 2008 express which you can download for free from www.asp.net

I think its component vs installs like microsoft c+ redistribute that clashes with the installer, i've found posts about other people saying it's a c+ redist conflict. Anyway i'm running windows 7 x64 ultimate, with visual studio 2008 express sp1, this is a really stupid problem to have, it needs to be fixed, i can't bloody well uninstall my whole development environment everytime i want to upgrade my drivers!

I've submitted a support ticket with sapphire as they make my 5970 and i can't find anywhere on ati/amds site to actually get feedback to them! Does anyone know how to get in touch with them?

Lexmark X3550 Scanner Fails After Xp Reload

Had to reinstall xp on compaq laptop. Downloaded driver pack for x3550 all-in-one from lexmark. Appeared to install properly and printer works, but pressing scan button gives "cannot download application list". Attempting to scan from pc gives "check your usb cables" error.control panel->system->device manager shows the scanner driver did not load. Clicking on "reinstall driver" gives "cyclic redundancy check error". Reinstalling and reinstalling drivers repeatedly doesn't help. Lexmark tech support logged onto the laptop but couldn't find problem. Obviously the scanner driver could not be installed, but why? Some vague statements on net suggest the usb drivers are at fault, but what is solution? Is the problem with the compac usb drivers?

After Changing / Adding Hardware, Computer Fails To Boot

I changed the cpu fan as it was making some buzzing noises so decided it was getting old and replaced it. Also i added in a dvd player as the other drive could not play dvds. While doing this i also unscrewed the hdd from its location to remove it while changing the cpu fan and also to make sure it was secure as i had a feeling it was loose. Put everything back together, hit power. Psu fan spun, cpu fan spun, gfx card fan spun, cd drives can open/close, hdd spins up, but no beeps at all and the monitor does not activate, the light by its power button just flashes.

Computer Fails To Wake Up From Sleep Mode Properly

Basically, when i got this new computer in september or so, going to and resuming from sleep mode worked correctly. But then, resuming suddenly stopped working, and hasn't worked since. The error message i get is the same as this guy here (but only when resuming, not when (re)starting). Usually it's the first error in a bsod, sometimes it's been something about the hard disk after the system actually already showed the desktop. It's a major annoyance, as i run a lot of apps at once. So while i'd like to save electricity by putting the computer to sleep when i'm away for a while, i currently have to either leave it on, or close a lot of apps with stuff open in them. As for a cause, i tried chkdsk as the article suggested. Bios settings haven't changed in the meanwhile or anything, so it shouldn't be anything bios-related. The hard drive - currently only using one internal hd - is otherwise working fine, so i'm not sure how it could be a hard drive issue. It's also a rather new drive, bought along with the rest of the system's components in september. Obviously that doesn't mean it can't be faulty, but there's been no other indication that it would be. Any suggestions?

Video Card For Improving Video Quality On 22'' Monitor

I am seeking for help to improve the video quality of the 22'' monitor. It's samsung t220 and the max resolution it supports is 1680 x 1050. Currently, it's connected through vga with the onboard intel integrated graphics. Say if i connect a video card and then connect monitor through dvi, will i be able to see considerable improvement in the video quality? Please advise how do i get the best out of the monitor. Also, can i see hd content on this monitor? It does support hdcp. And i found this ati radeon 4350 hd video card - which looks decent enough for movies and casual stuff. I don't plan to game on this machine. Is this card fine for my purpose?
