Answer:- is the unit installed correctly. Is the unit hp branded. If you have answered yes to both then the unit may be defective, or you may have a defective sensor in your printer. In this case you have no other option than to contact hp support.

The printer driver you selected is either not compatible with your current version of windows, or it may not be available. Select a compatible driver from the list, or contact your administrator for help. I am setting up our new server. When i try to install this printer on windows 2000 machines i get the message above. I've gone into add aditional drivers and i have the server edition installed. I also have 9x drivers installed. I can connect through the server to the printer from xp clients, but not 2k clients. I've tried drivers from hp.com, the disk that came with the printer, and driverguide.com. Nothing is working. Any clue?

Network Tool Kit
Can someone point me to a decent network tool kit? I need one for home, with crimpers and maybe a network tester. Actually, do i really need anything else besides crimpers and ends if i'm pulling network cable in my new house? Some of the cable is already run but i have to run a couple new ones and set up some jacks. I would like to go to a local story but i'm not sure where to get that stuff from. Only major stores around me home depot and such.

Printer Laserjet Around $200
Just yesterday my inkjet printer ran out of black ink, and it's been out of color for quite awhile. The thing is as old as the dinosaurs, and i'm looking into getting something better. 99. 9% of the time, i only print black and white, so i'm in the market for a new laserjet i suppose as i understand they're much better overall for just black/white stuff. The printer would be just for me and speed isn't of the essence, so i don't need something that cranks out a thousand pages per minute. I'm mainly looking for something solid and reliable that'll last me awhile. Budget is probably < $200.

Hp Laserjet 5p Printer Problem
I have a very old hp laser jet 5p printer here at work. I cannot get an upgrade printer. I recently had to replace the ink toner. When i printed out the page it would print blurry and would double print. I did a print test page. It was blurry and the paper has turned grey and on the back of the paper is grey also. The page also has white lines that run up and down the page. So my question is how do i fix this printer issue? I must have the printer to perform my job. There is nobody at my office except for me.

Can't print on both sides (manually) with hp laserjet p1006? I just got a new printer, as it says in the title it's an hp laserjet p1006. When i try to print on both sides manually, the first set of sheets go out just fine, but when i reinsert it, i don't know how to get it to finish the printing!
It might sound a bit dumb, but i have tried to press every buttons (there is only a red "cancel" one and the power button). I have also got a message on my computer, saying to press "continue" once i've put the pile of sheets back in the tray, but the button at the button of the window says "close", and when i press it, it just closes the message window. I used to have an hp laserjet1012, which had a green button to continue the printing. But now i am a bit confused!

Drive Order Messed Up
I have 2 hd on the master ide and on the secondary ide, i have a cd-r/w and and a dvd-r/w. My smaller hd is the master drive, larger drive is slave, bios see's drives in correct order, after installing xp pro. My master drive is f, my slave is drive c, cd is d, dvd is e. I've checked all the connectors, etc. Any idea's what i'm missing.

Hp c4600 printer problem, i replaced the ink cartridges and now its messed up. I got the printer for christmas and it had working just fine until now. I love taking pictures and i print off a lot of them. Before the prints were great, but now that i replaced the ink cartridges, all of the pictures have a really distinct red hue. And when i try printing using the macbook, it says printing 100%, when i check the status on the pc, it says spooling.
