Getting Sims 3 To Start On Mac
Replies: 2 | Post Date: 1 week ago | User: Daria. Joined May | Forums: answers.yahoo.comHow can i get the sims 3 to start on my mac? Long story short, i've been practically on my macbook pro all day trying to get this game to work. First thing i did was update my mbp software to 10. 6. 4. Then i removed and reinstalled the sims 3 and the world adventure's expansion pack. I managed to start the sims 3 launcher without any problem and i chose to update the patch. I've updated the patch now but the game doesn't start. I went to find my the sims 3 file etc and i click on them and the logo comes on my dock and just bounces around and nothing happens. I went to the folder which has the ts3.exe file but it doesn't work either, it just opens up a zip doc. I have tried almost everything and this is so frustrating. I've googled bout this so many times but i haven't found anything yet. Any advice? I have reinstalled this game over and over again and it seemed to work but after updating things just went downhill =/

Sims 3 Crack On Mac
I downloaded the sims 3 off a torrent onto my macbook and had it installed and i got to the main menu but it said that it needed the disc when i tried to play. The download included a crack for no cd and a "final version patch" but i don't know where to put the crack or how to mount or burn image. The instructions in the read me were:
1. Mount or burn image
2. Install and use one of these serials or keygen from razor1911 dir:
Dntk-wqgr-m5t4-t1k1-1911
L7yy-yur6-b1o4-j2b3-1911
3. Have fun!
Final version install notes:
1.copy ts3.exe and tslhost.dll from crack dir to installation folder gamebin folder (overwrite - replace)
2. Run and install final version patch
3. Start playing!
I cannot find the game/bin folder anywhere on my mac. Does anyone know why i don't have the game/bin folder and where do i have to put the no cd crack to work if i don't have the folder?

What cd do you use after sims 3 extensions installed ? I lost my sims 3 cd, and i was wondering, after you installed the sims 3 extensions, would you have to use the sims 3 disk or the sims 3 extension disks?

Dell Inspiron Laptop For Playing Sims 2
I want to get this laptop: http://bit. Ly/cyvems in a couple weeks. It says it has 3gb of ram and can be expanded to 8gb, and 320gb for the hard drive. I'm confused because my old desktop says that it has 80gb? Is that the ram or the hard drive?
I want to be able to play the sims 2 with all the expansion packs as well. Would this be a good laptop to get ?

Can Dell Inspiron 6000 Run Sims 3?
I recently bought a laptop from a computer place that fixes up laptops and computers and it has:
Windows xp professional service pack 3
Dvd-rw drive
Intel pentuim m processor 1. 73 ghz 794mhz
1gb or ram
Video card: mobile intel 915gm/gms, 910gml express chipset family
The lady at the computer place where i bought it said the game should work, yet it doesn't. I even showed her the game case and a printout of the system requirements and she said it would most likely run without any issues. I don't know what to do about it.

Bootcamp Error Running Sims 2 On Windows 7
"failed to find any directx 9. 0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a directx 9. 0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate. " My error message when i attempt to run sims 2. I got a macbook pro about 3-4 months ago, and via bootcamp i installed a cracked version of windows 7. I followed the installation instructions found here (http://www.Simplehelp.net/2009/01/15/usi¦ and everything went smoothly and according to the instructions until the final couple of steps. According to those instructions, towards the end of the installation the process was going to require me to insert my os x leopard disk to update all the necessary drivers and what not. However, i think because i used a cracked version, this never happened. I can't use my track pad on my windows partition with anything other than 1 finger (no multi touch) and i'm finding out among other things my sound isn't working. This is not my main problem, but in an effort for full disclosure i thought i'd include this relevant information. I decided to run my error message through google and was directed from various forums to download the drivers from nvidia website for my graphics card (320m), but all that directed me to was a sound driver? I went to the microsoft website in an effort to download directx 9 because that's what my error message says i'm having a problem with. But still no luck. Also, i'm running the 64 bit version of windows 7 here, and these are my specs:
2. 66ghz intel core 2 duo processor with 3mb on-chip shared l2 cache
Nvidia geforce 320m graphics processor with 256mb of ddr3 sdram
320gb 5400-rpm serial ata hard drive (35 gigs partitioned for windows 7, i do believe)
4gb of 1066mhz ddr3 memory
When i run dxdiag on windows, under the display tab all of the directx features are marked as unavailable which i'm assuming is the cause of my problems. There isn't a button or anything i can click to make them available or to enable the features, and i'm becoming quite frustrated here. Any suggestions?

Play Sims 2 Or 3 On Dell Inspiron Mini 1012
Can i play sims 2 or sims 3 on the dell inspiron mini 1012?
Answer:- you will have some problems playing pretty much any post-2006 games on a netbook. Those things weren't exactly built for gaming, with the exception to the ones with nvidia ion built in. I have a similar toshiba netbook with almost the same specs and i have a lot of trouble gaming on it, so i wouldn't suggest it. But you could try if you really really want to and are ready for the game to crash.

Pc Won't Start Sometimes
When i press the power switch, the system (lights, fans, dvd) turns on for about 5 seconds and then turns off again. During this 5 seconds the monitor doesn't even power on, it remains in standby. After this happens, i'm not able to power on the pc again without re-plugging the psu cable before. I unplug the cable, wait for the mb light to turn off, plug it back in, and (lol) without touching anything the power turns on by himself and turns off after 5 seconds. And now i try to turn it on by myself pressing the switch and.
A) the system starts up without any problem and keeps working normally during the whole day
Or
B) it turns off after 5 seconds (same story again)
Sometimes a happens, sometimes b. What is going on here?

Start Computer But Nothing Happens
I tried starting up my computer tonight, and what happened was that i got to the screen where the windows icon appears and the little blue bar moves to indicate it's loading, then the screen goes black and the little light on my screen starts to flash like it usually does if the computer is turned off or if it's in stand-by mode. I try restarting it, and press in the restart button. Nothing happens, the computer doesn't even sound like it usually does when it restarts. I shut it off completely, and restart. The screen stops blinking, and i barely get to see the black screen that comes before the windows screen before the same thing happens again. I restart again, hammer the f8 button to try and start it in fail-safe mode. I get to the fail-safe menu, but before i have time to select anything, the screen goes black. I try a fourth time, this time pressing delete so i can get up the bios menu. Nothing appears this time at all. I have not tried anything since then. This came out of the blue, i have not installed or removed any hardware, and i haven't installed any software either. My specs are:
Motherboard: matsonic ms-9077
Cpu: intel pentium 4 2. 53 ghz
Ram: 1024 ddr
Harddrive: maxtor 80 gb
Graphics card: ati radeon x800xl
Psu: chiefetec something (i don't know what to look for, it says max load 360w)
The computer is about 3 1/2 years old by now, except for the graphics card which is about 1 1/2 years old. If you need to know anything else tell me, because i have absolutely no idea what is happening.

Will Not Start Up Past Post
I had a situation last night where my pc was frozen so i restarted it. In restarting the computer it would freeze at the post right after it sensed the keyboard and mouse. I'm wondering if that means there may be something wrong with the hard drive since i believe that was next in the detection list. Can anyone assist?
Also, as a side note, i was wondering if there was such a thing as some free software that you can burn to a cd and run as a diagnostics to check all of your hardware.

Pc Start Up, And Nothing Shows Up On The Monitor
I have 2 pc's (a p2 450 and a p3 888), that won't boot up, the fans go on, the lights too, but nothing happens on the screen. My knowledge is not that great, but after reading a bunch of stuff online, if it doesn't reach post and the lights go on, it's either the power supply or the motherboard. B4 i go out and buy 2 power supplies, any way i could know wether it's the psu or the motherboard?

Computer Goes Into Stand By On Start Up
My computer goes into stand by (black screen and hard drive spins down) during start up. I can start the comp in safe mode so i suspected the video driver and my 20" dell ultra sharp was the problem so i deleted the device from device manager for monitor and display card but its still goes blank. This has happened before with a different mother board but i just had to press the sleep button on my key board and it came back on. Now that trick does not work. I am away form home at the moment so cant try anything, but if any one has any ideas.
The computer seems to load up the same drivers every time i start the computer so is there a way of completely removing the driver back up from sys 32 file. Sorry but i cant recall the specs of my computer but i know its an athlon 64 3800+ msi 939 mobo 1 gig ram, ati radion? Windows xp pro. If i remember right this started when i got the 20" dell ultra-sharp monitor.

Computer Freezes On Start Up
I am trying to fix a computer and would appreciate any suggestions of help. I start the computer, it loads, gets to the windows screen, the blue segmented line goes across a couple of times then the whole thing freezes in that spot, the blue line stops moving and that's as far as it gets. Things i tried:
F8 - safe mode
- Last known good configuration
- Start windows normally
- (Etc)
When i tried these it just came back to the f8 screen. Pushing 'r' didn't do anything (i was told this could make a repair) o. 0 ?
Tried to boot up from an operating system disk by changing the boot up menu (delete) and this didn't work either. All it did was get to the windows screen and the blue line moved across a couple of times and it froze again in that spot. Exactly the same as when i try to start it. I am clueless now as to how to get this computer working. Any ideas?

All it did was get to the windows screen and the blue line moved across a couple of times and it froze again in that spot. Exactly the same as when i try to start it. I am clueless now as to how to get this computer working. Any ideas?

Computer Shuts Down After Start Up
I have been working on this problem for the last 5 days and can't think of anything else to try. My computer when you get to the windows loading screen will shut down, but it can load into safe mode. After i load safe mode i am able to restart and load normal mode and i get to desktop for about 2 or so minutes then shuts down again. It is not a heat problem, i have checked the heat and all the fans are spinning. If anyone has any ideas?

This Device Cannot Start (code 10)
My samsung cdrw is generating the error: "this device cannot start. (Code 10)". I went to device manager to see why the drive is not listed on burning apps recorder lists. Device status box in properties is where i found the error. Is the drive done? Or is this some kind of setting adjustment i need to make.

Device Will Not Start (code 10)
Ok, concerning all that i found elsewhere in reference to external hard drives and the "device will not start (code 10)" message, i am going to take a leap here and assume that it may have crossed paths on this forum also. Believe me when i say that i tried every piece of advice i came across and none of it has worked. Yes, i changed usb slots, i removed the drivers from the registry physically and rebooting my win xp made no difference whatsoever. Does anyone have the solution to this problem?
I'm tempted to switch from usb to firewire but not so sure it wouldn't end up in the same spot and still leave my 200gb of info totally out of reach. I'm looking for a solution that leaves my external hd intact and functional unless there simply is no cure for this problem. I am looking for expert advice from the experts for i am not one.

Hp Dv2000 Wont Start Up
Hp dv2000: no blue lights (not even near adaptor plug), wont start up? I have a hp dv2000 laptop. It was working fine until yesterday. I had left it on overnight, ac power (slept off while using it). Next day, i used it on battery power. After some time the battery finished and when i tried charging it by plugging in adaptor, it didn't turn on. There was no blue light near ac plugin or near the keyboard, in fact no lights at all. I tried removing battery and using it on ac power. Even that didn't work. Plz suggest a solution so that i can get my laptop back from the dead.

How To Start Internet Cafe?
Answer:- firstly, location. It is imperative that you decide on a strategic location for your internet cafe. I recommend an area where a sizable crowd pass by on a regular basis; close to a school or a heavily populated residential area is best. As a pro gamer, i would like to find my preferred cafe close to a school exit so finding it will be easy. Placing it close to some eateries or "carinderia" is helpful (discard this if you plan to serve "real" food to your clients, see bottom for further details). Most pro gamers would want to eat at a place just outside or near their internet cafe. Next, make up your mind as to how many computers you want. My guess would be around 15-20 for beginners. You might also want to put in fewer weighing in your cafe's space and starting capital. Error: This Device Could Not Start ( Code 10 )
I have 895mb of ram on my system now, but i started with 1gb? Anyways, i kept getting blue screens and they told me to use a new video adapter. I got a new video card and it reccomends 1gb of ram. It has a vga adapter that you have to connect your monitor to for it to work. I went into device manager and it said "this device could not start (code 10). " Then after some lagg, the computer froze. Is this a ram problem? And if it is, can i just buy one stick of 2gb ram instead of adding 1gb to the current 895mb? I have windows vista home basic 32-bit. Int pent 4 proc. 3. 0ghz. I went into system setup when it booted, and changed the primary video card to pci-e, which is what the new video card runs on. The video card is the radeon hd 3650 1gb ddr2. This is like my 3rd topic, i know. Bare with me, i keep running into like 2 different problems every day.

Pc Start Up Problem After Modem Installed
I just bought myself a new internal pci modem after the last one decided to gave up. After installing it my pc refused to start up, not even reaching post stage and no signal to the monitor. But all my cpu fan and stuff are running. Then i took up the modem and everything works fine! I changed the pci slot and still the same thing happens. Is this because of pci conflicts? How do i resolve this please?

It's very strange, but my laptop computer just doesn't start anymore. When i press the start button, i hear the sound of the hard drive trying to boot fot two seconds, but then it stops. There is absolutely nothing on the screen, it just remains black. I always use it with ac adapter plugged in and the batteries are full. So i wonder where i should start the investigations from.

Computer Doesn't Start
Someone's computer just suddenly stopped loading completely : it comes up to the enter password screen, and as soon as the password is entered, there is this usual timer image that tells you things are loading, but the computer doesn't go any further. What can the potential problems be?
What can i try doing?
