Why does my webcam disconnect on windows live messenger? Whenever i go to have a webcam session with my friends, it immediately disconnects. I accept the invitation, so does my friend. I can see myself, and i see the sponsor ads before it loads like normally, but then it immediately ends the webcam session. What is going on? And how can i fix it?

Disable Windows Messenger Live

My dell inspiron came with windows messenger live and i cannot remove it. Help?

Answer:- you can solve this issue by following the steps below:

1. Sign on to windows live messenger

2. Click the down arrow that lets you select online, busy, away, etc. And go to the bottom and select "options"

3. Choose the "general" tab

4. Uncheck the box beside, "automatically run windows live messenger when i log on to windows. 5. Click the 'accept' button. . But that, for some odd reason, doesn't work

1. Press the windows button on your keyboard, or launch the start menu using your cursor. 2. Select the "run" option. 3. In the prompted box, enter "services. Msc". 4. Press the enter button on your keyboard, or click "ok". 5. Search for "windows live messenger" ("windows messenger" if you are a windows xp user) located in the list that will have just appeared, and double-click it. 6. Select "disabled" from the "startup type" menu. 7. Click the "stop" button. 8. Press the enter button on your keyboard, or click "ok". 9. Press alt+f4 on your keyboard, or close the "services" window using your cursor. Alternatively, you could uninstall windows live messenger which would remove it from your computer completely to disallow any temptations that you may have.

File Over Messenger Issue With Live Onecare Safety Scanner

When ever i receive a file from my friends over windows live messenger (msn) it comes up with a windows live onecare safety scanner downloading components and takes for ever to finish any way to fix this from coming up? Or even make it go a little faster.

Hotmail / Windows Live Down

I've been trying to get into my inbox on hotmail but it won't let me. It takes me to the sign in page but instead of having the type box for my e-mail and password, it says:

* You can sign in or sign up at other sites on the windows live network, or try again later at this site. I can access my account information but it won't let me change my password or anything (i did it just to see if that was the problem) and it said it couldn't do that at the time. I was just on it earlier today. It won't take to really anything on my account (like the calender, contacts, etc. ). I can see my account information but that's it. What's the deal?

Windows Live Mail Keeps Disconnecting Internet

I recently upgraded my computer from windows vista to 7. Before upgrading, the compatibility report said that windows mail was not included in windows 7. So as soon as the upgrade was finished, i went to microsoft's website and downloaded windows live mail. The first time i ran it, it automatically imported my accounts, emails, contacts, etc. It was working for a day or two, but then whenever i click on windows live mail, my dsl connection keeps getting disconnected.

Messenger Not Working - Error Code 81000306

I recently bought a new desktop pc, to replace a laptop that is constantly overheating. Until i buy a wireless dongle, i'm having to bridge the internet connection between the desktop and my old laptop to connect to my wireless hub. Everything works fine, however when i try to sign into messenger it gives me an error code (81000306)

I believe this is something to do with my bridged connection.

Logitech Quick Cam Messenger Mic Not Working

I can't get the mic to work on my logitech quick cam messenger. I did have an older model hooked up last month which worked fine. The mic for this cam is located on top of the cam itself. I do not find the device listed anywhere when doing sound tests or other checks. I have gone through the sound recorder, the msn audio/video set up, the audio settings for the cam itself, the sound hardware test wizard and the troubleshooting guides for windows. I have uninstalled previous drivers. I have uninstalled the drivers that came with this cam and reinstalled them again. I have a hp multimedia keyboard, but it did not interfere with the mic on my old cam. What else can i do? I've tried plugging it into 4 different usb slots on the tower, and even the one on my keyboard too.

Constant Internet Disconnect

Well, lately i've noticed some dc's at first i was just playing world of warcraft, and i got a dc (which seriously hardly ever happens to me. It would be that someone pulled the plug of the router out or something). So i thought, meh could be something else. But past 4 days i've noticed constant dc's in 2 games that i play: wow and battlefield: bad company 2. So i contacted my provider and they couldn't really help me. They just told me basic amateur stuff such as: pull the plug out and back in. But, my sister downloads from limewire, she has for a long time, i always told her not to. But still she does. So i was thinking, maybe someone hacked our network because of limewire. Well, i was also playing battlefield today, for a few hours and the dc's usually happen every 25-50 minutes. So as soon as my sister came back home from work, she came home and rest, and just not too long after that, boom! Another dc while i didn't have any before she came home. Thing is, she also owns a blackberry, which i doubt it could be cos i don't think u can download things with malware from that thing. But maybe it could still be so. And i just went to my router-webpage and went to the lan- section. And i noticed all the way down of the page it has a little section with: 'dynamic dhcp client list', under that i get 'hardware address assigned ip hostname ' and i have one with the ip addres and all the stuff that is supposed to go along with it (afraid to tell you guys what it is though). And it says hostname computer. So i think that's just my computer or something, but under that i see another ip address and the whole line thing and the hostname is: your-0ifga41fpw , could that be something bad? Because i don't know if it belongs to me or whatever it is. I also resetted my modem + router. Didn't work. I also wanted to block limewire through my router-webpage but i don't know how to, could you please explain it to me! And oh yes! When i get disconnected its not like i have to wait a while for my internet to get back up again, it's just an instant dc but i can log back in directly after that. So all in all, my problem is: lately i've been getting constant dc's which are extremely rare for me to get. And i'm not sure but i think it could be my sisters limewire.

Internet Connect Then Disconnect

When i try to connect to the internet it connect then disconnect then reconnect and so on. Can anybody tell how to resolve this?

Answer:- i am assuming that you are using wifi and a router. This might be interference from a cordless phone or a neighbor who has a router using the same wifi channel. There are 11 channels to choose from in the router. Go in there and change the channel. Your user guide for your make and model will have the instructions for this. If you don't have a user guide download it from the maker's website. I you are not using wifi, then i must say the problem is either with your modem or the internet provider is having trouble. In both cases you need to talk with the provider.

Modem Disconnect Periodically

Why does my modem disconnect periodically? I am using a motorola modem and a belkin router. For as long as i remember, it has worked perfectly fine except for the fact that about every hour or two, the internet connection just cuts off somehow, and after about two minutes it will work just fine again. After the disconnection it will continue to run normally, until another hour or two later, when it will again disconnect and reconnect.

Safely Disconnect Hardware

For every hardware i connect to the usb port of the computer, i always make sure to safely disconnect it first before i unplug it from the computer. I make sure to wait till the icon disappears from the computer before i disconnect. However, even when i do disconnect from the computer, the screen of the hardware itself (my psp, mp3 players, pmp, etc) continues saying usb connected, even when i have safely disconnected it (note: it is still plugged into the computer but technically disconnected. Hope you get what i mean. ) The only thing that doesn't do this is my ipod nano 3rd gen, which i always use the itunes program itself to disconnect, and the little loading bar appears telling me when it is safe for me to physically disconnect it. Can anyone tell me the reason as to why the message never shows up on my hardwares? This hasn't really been a problem for me, but i always wondered why.

Router Disconnect When Get Phone Call

Why does my router disconnect when i get a phone call? I recently purchased a new cable modem and netgear router. Before this i had a different cable modem and a different netgear router. With the old ones, the phone could ring and the internet would be fine. Now, whenever the phone rings, the connection dies. I dont think it is the wireless signal being interfered with because i lose get disconnected even if i do not answer the phone. We have a coax splitter that splits the cable like and then one goes to a modem for the phone and the other goes to the new modem for the internet, which is then connected to the router. Why i am having this issue?

Internet Connection Disconnect When Phone Rings

Why does my broadband internet connection disconnect from the internet each time my phone rings? My dsl internet disconnects every time i receive a call and reconnects shortly after the call is finished. I read that i should try adjusting the ghz on my router or try changing the channel to 1, 6, or 11. Where can i do this at. And will changing these settings affect the router's performance when it is connected and working. Also i have checked that all my phones in my house have a filter.

Cannot Use Safely Remove Hardware To Disconnect External Hdd

When disconnecting usb flash drives, i for one never use the safely remove hardware button, and never had any problems as a result of this habit, probably because i always leave write caching disabled, as it is by default - according to the windows help, this means you can disconnect a drive without going through safely remove hardware. Now, i have recently bought an external hard-drive (a samsung story station), which i use on and off, several times per day. Since an electro-mechanical hard-drive is surely more fragile than a solid-state usb flash drive, and also because this hdd cost me quite a lot, i though it wouldn't hurt to develop the good practice of always using safely remove hardware before turning its power off. The problem is, most of the time this process is not straightforward, and produces the error message "the device 'generic volume' cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it". This happens at a time when the hdd is (at least to my knowledge) no longer in use, i.e. I've copied a few files to/from it, and the transfer has stopped for a few good minutes before i press the safely remove hardware button. I know there may be many reasons why windows sees the hard-drive as still being in use, but my question to all you hardware-aware techniques is: how harmful is it for the hard-drive if i just turn the power off after i've finished using it (no ongoing transfers, of course) without using safely remove hardware? Again, this would be at a time when windows is under the impression that the hdd is still being used, even though - mind you - the hdd's led is not blinking, indicating that there is in fact no activity. Router Constantly Disconnect - Light Turn Red

Why does my router constantly disconnect at night? I have a 2wire router and my internet provider is at&t. It rarely happens during the day, but at night the light marked internet would turn red, knocking me of the internet. It flashes red for a minute then the light goes off, only to return green moments later. It'll keep turning off and on all night, and it gets really frustrating.

If Disconnect Laptop Screen, Will External Screen Still Work ?

If i disconnect my laptop's screen, will an external screen still work? I have an acer aspire5315 laptop. What i am doing is i am putting it into a custom case that will not fit the built-on screen. Sb Live 5.1 Digital Drivers

I got a sblive value sound card for free. So i went to my computer store and asked if they had somethign just abit better then what i had and they had the sblive 5. 1 digital so they gave it to me even trade. Unfortunatly can t find the drivers for this card anywhere not even on the creative site. When i look elsewhere for them the ones that are for this card supposedly dont work. When i try to install them it says that i dont have a sb card installed.
