Printer Recommendation Canon, Lexmark, Hp

After doing some research, i narrowed it down to 3 models: canon pixma mx860, lexmark interact s605, and hp photosmart premium all in one (cd055a). I have always had hp printers, and have not been impressed. I really liked the canon, except i read that if you run of of ink the whole printer won't function (not sure if that is true!) I have not had a lot of experience with lexmark, but the printer seems great and it is on sale this week. Scanning and duplexing are the features i am really looking for.

Which Laser Printer? Hp, Canon, Epson, Lexmark, Samsung, Brother
Which laser printer model for home use? - Hp, canon, epson, lexmark, samsung or brother? Give model no. Plz!? I will be printing small batches of 4-5 sheets on average per week but infrequently (i.e. With gaps of 2-3 months between prints as i do cash book and ledger for my family accounts). I do not need to print color graphics or photos. I am looking at purchasing a printer:
1) which does not dry out its ink if left unused for some time period (say 3-4 months)
2) prints reasonably fast, efficiently and as quietly as possible. 3) does not cost more than rs. 10 per sheet for b/w (this is the rate that the local internet cafe charges for a single black and white print)
4) easy to install on ms xp professional with ms office 2007
5) is compatible with dell latitude d620 laptop with 32 bit
6) is upgradable to 64 bits as i may buy a new laptop in a couple of years (my current laptop will be 4 years old in july, 2010)
7) whose cartridge can be easily refilled (preferably) or replaced with the cheapest 3rd party compatible cartridge
8) is reasonably priced within rs. 7000 as that is my current budget

Canon Lbp 5200 Printer With Dlink Dpr-1061 Printer Server
Bascially, i had 2 printers (standard printers) that needed to be accessible on a network. I have ran through the setup and was able to add 1 printer with out a problem (epson photo stylus r1900 series). Works a dream. However, i am having issues with the canon lbp5200. The print server says that it is offline, but its turned on and connected via usb to the print server. I know the print server sees the printer because it shows up in its list of available printers. But when i go to add it and try to print, it tells me 'the printer is connected to port which is not supported. Check the port'. No documentation anywhere regarding this. Neither printer is shown on their compatibility list (which appears to only list multi-function printers). However, the epson works. Any ideas anyone? I have reset/reconfigured a few times and still no joy.

Canon I9900 Printer
I've been researching what printer to get for the longest time to print my design pages, i'm pretty sure i want the canon i9900. However, i'm looking at how big this thing looks (i can't find anybody that sells it around here) to see its relative size, and to be honest, seeing it in a home setting helps me more than their advertized image. Epson Vs Hp Vs Canon Printer
I am a student and i need a all-in-one for getting copies of various documents, forms etc. I also print very few pages - i print only when i have a project or something like that. Again, i print the occasional photo on glossy paper, so i would need a *decent* photo quality. For projects too, the pictures should be crisp. My budget is not very high - maximum is rs. 6000 - 8000. I would not mind sending my cartridges for refilling sometimes, but cheap cartridges would be good as epson and lexmark cartridges cannot be refilled.

Canon Mp190 Printer Offline
My canon mp190 printers, say it is offline on my computer. How do i fix this?
Answer:-
Uncheck the "use printer in offline mode" option. Reconnect the printer via usb. Restart the laptop. Restart the printer. When the laptop boots up, it should recognize the printer.

Color Printing Problem Using Canon I560 Printer
My printer was working fine up till recently but it won't print anything color. I've switched computers that the printer is attached to, the color tanks are brand new, i did deep cleaning and other maintainence stuff from the printer properties. My printer is a canon i560. It's about 1. 5 years old. Since i changed computers, it has to be a problem with the printer itself. Has it died already?

Canon Bjc 2100 Printer Wont Print
I didn't want to buy a new printer, so i bought a parallel adapter with usb. The vista found and installed the printer and new adapter cable. It printed a few pages, faded and blurry, i assumed it was the ink kind of dried up. So i kept printing. Now, it tells me i have the wrong ink cartridge in my printer, which i do not. Can anyone please help me figure this out. Do i need to change some settings to the printer or something else? This is the first printer to be installed on my vista laptop.

I own a canon pixma mp490. At first the printer wouldn't take the paper being fed. I removed all the papers in the tray and opened up the printer to see if any paper was jammed and to my surprise found none at all. The computer prompted a paper jam so i unplugged the printer and waited five minutes. With my second attempt, the printer error prompt read "no paper in tray"
I went online and found that the rollers that accept the paper can be dirty and a suggestion was to clean the rollers that catch the paper with a q-tip slightly dabbed in alcohol. I did so, and waited as prompted by the online tip for the alcohol to dry. I tried to print and the paper still wouldn't be taken by the printer. Now everytime i try to print something, the error prompts switch from "paper jam" to "no paper in tray" even though there's plenty of paper in the tray, none of which is jammed in the computer. I've tried just about everything aside from bashing the printer with a mallet to get it in working order.

So to be honest - they both suck. They both have terrible customer service. They both make crappy printers. They both charge far to much for their ink and they both have been sued repeatedly by their customers. The only reason why i like epson a little more is sometimes you can find non epson branded cartridges, which will save you money on the running cost. They both have the audacity to charge in some cases upwards of $20 for a cartridge which prints 60 pages.

So when ever i want to print something my laptop says stuff like the printer cannot communicate with the computer. Try these solution
- Ensure the printer is powered on
- Disconnect and reconnect the printer's power cable

Lexmark 3400 Printer Problem
I have a lexmark 3400, and it sometimes, out of random, while its turned off even, make noise. Like, that sliding clicking noise that printers do. Its not a problem, sometimes amusing, when i have friends over and it randomly starts going off and everyone is like "***. " Just wondering what could be causing it and if anyone else has experienced this.

How do i scan on my lexmark 500 series printer? I have been going through the manual but can only find how to fax. This has been already setup and i have used it many times for printing. How do i scan on my lexmark 500 series printer? I have been going through the manual but can only find how to fax. This has been already setup and i have used it many times for printing. However i cannot seem to figure out how to scan in old pictures to copy and post them on e-mail or facebook whatever.
