But felt over on my windows 7 under network connection i have a unwanted and unknown computer connected to my network pc list. I turned sharing off, network discover off, unplugged the cable modem, reset the firewall to default & ipconfig /flushdns. It turn the network back on and there is this unknown computer connected again. How do i get this guy off my box?

Printer On A Wireless Network Without Having It Connected To Computer
Okay so my family wants to buy a printer that can be used on our wireless network without having it connected to a computer (so the computer doesn't have to be on, they won't leave computers on). Anyways my father was wanting to get a fax/copier/printer combo. Do printers today have like a wireless antenna that can get on a wireless network? Is there an attachment that will put it on a wireless network? Or can we connect it directly to the wireless router? And, which way is the best way?

Cannot Access Printer Connected To Network Computer
Why can i not access a printer connected to another networked computer, even though i can access its documents? I have a desktop that has two printers connected to it via usb. The desktop is configured for network access, and is accessible by every computer in the house. I have three laptops with a wireless connection. All three can successfully connect to the desktop and see it's documents and connected printers. Only two of these three laptops can access the printer and print on it. The two laptops that can print have windows 7 and vista. The third laptop that cannot print has vista. It can see the desktop, it can connect to the desktop, it can see files, read files, and create files on the desktop. However, when i try to add the printer from the desktop to the list of printers on the laptop, it says access denied - however the other two laptops added the printer fine and can print without any trouble. Again, this one laptop that can't print seems to have full access to the desktops files. Any idea how to get this third laptop to add and send print jobs to the printer connected to the desktop "hub" computer? Because "add a new printer" button isn't working and continues to give me errors.

Okay, so i'm trying to connect to a network on my laptop, which is running vista. Every time i plug my ethernet cable in, it just says "identifying. Unknown network" and won't connect. I've never had it do this before, and i've tried everything i can think of, and nothing seems to work!

Unwanted Overclock
The problem is as follows: it will always post at 900mzh. I checked jumpers, updated the bios, ect. Nothing will get it back to its correct speed. Fsb setting seems to have nothing to do with it either, even when i change the fsb, it still posts at 900mzh. So what is the problem? Well, it overheats. Right now it is running at 118 f, and i just replaced the stock duron heatsink with a copper botton antec from best buy. I have an alpha pal 80whatever (the really good one from back in the day), but no 60mm fan for it. So i need to get this bad boy back to stock speed, so my mom can trade stocks and play uru without the damn thing locking up on her. Any ideas?

Why does my internet speed slow down when my sister plugs her network adapter in her computer? I have a wireless-n linksys adapter and she has a wireless-g netgear adapter. When her adapter is not connected to her computer, my internet is super fast. When she plugs it in, my internet speed slows down way too much. Sometimes it doesn't even load up any webpages. Our main computer in the basement is connected to a wireless-n router and i connect to our network called "linksys". She connects to the same router but her connection is "ng_profile"? I don't get it, i just want my speeds to be normal.

Letting wireless computers get to the router's administration pages is just asking to have the network hijacked out from under you by an unscrupulous neighbor. Wireless administration should be turned off, and only cabled computers allowed to get to the admin pages.

So, my brother has had several computer issues in the past, and all of them have been fixed by reinstalling windows and wiping his computer, great. Its getting a little old now though. His current issue now is that his computer will reboot the second it logs in to his user account, i let it run and reboot and just happened to catch it while it was working, went to the internet to download some stuff that might help fix the issue and it began rebooting again. I took out his wireless antenna and its working now but he needs internet, what could be the problem with it and how can i fix it?

I recently bought a new master hard drive for my computer. It's maxtor 300 gb ultra ata/133 with 16mb cache and 7200 rpm. Anyways, the weird thing is that when i connect the hard drive, my computer doesnt turn on at all, i tried with different power plugs and the same thing happens, the thing is, when i dont connect the hard drive at all, and the computer turns on like nothing. If each drive doesn't show the names like sdmedia or something like that, then open each drive one at a time, like if it says f, g, h, i drives, open each one one at a time then the card will show a misc file and another file, open that other file and it will have all your info on it. If you try all of them and it doesn't show up, then your card reader is too old to read it or your card is not compatible to the reader.

I always get a "cannot detect keyboard, press f1 to continue" error msg during startups unless i disconnect my usb mouse; but i'm free to connect my mouse again when i boot into windows. This first started when i replaced the old pci graphics card i had with an agp graphics card while the old card is still in the system; so i thought it might have been an irq conflict issue (i had alot of ide devices connected to the computer). I have since tried removing either the pci card or the agp card and other extra ide devices, but the problem still persists. I've also tried switching the cmos battery from another computer, didn't help either.

Scan With Scanner Connected To Mac Os X With Windows Computer
Is it possible to scan with a scanner/printer connected to a mac os x with windows computers? I have the hp officejet 6500 scanner/printer. This printer/scanner is connected to my imac. I am able to scan and print with this imac. And i am able to print only over my network. I am able to print with any windows computer in my house using bonjour. When i open bonjour on the windows computers, it sees the printer connected to the imac. And when i print with the windows computers, it sends the document or whatever were printing to the imac connected to the printer/scanner. But the only thing is, i want to scan the same way. If i go to system preferences on the imac and go to print & fax and then i click my scanner/printer and the box is checked that says "share printer over network" and then when i click scan at the top, i see a button that says, open scanner, and another box that is checked that says, "share scanner over network. " Is it possible to share my scanner the same way as i share my printer?
I also have this apple product called time capsule. And i haven't used the print over network feature with that. Can i scan over the network using the tc?

Unknown System Instability
Recently i noticed my computer has been restarting itself randomly. It has always been stable and since the first time i oc'ed, i've ran orthos for 8hr+ without issues. I start orthos and what do you know, within the first minute, error occurs. Back to the bios, i turn off oc and try again with default everything. Orthos fails again. Must be ram right? I remove two sticks of ram (down to 2gb) and run memtest on it, passes for 5 cycles straight. Boot back into windows, orthos fails. So this comes down to the motherboard or cpu. 3. 2ghz for a 6750 is considered modest. My voltage was set at 1. 45 and temps never went above 60c under load. I really don't think the cpu would fail under these conditions. I don't have another machine to test out the cpu or motherboard unfortunately, what else can i do?

Recently i noticed my computer has been restarting itself randomly. It has always been stable and since the first time i oc'ed, i've ran orthos for 8hr+ without issues. I start orthos and what do you know, within the first minute, error occurs. Back to the bios, i turn off oc and try again with default everything. Orthos fails again. Must be ram right? I remove two sticks of ram (down to 2gb) and run memtest on it, passes for 5 cycles straight. Boot back into windows, orthos fails. So this comes down to the motherboard or cpu. 3. 2ghz for a 6750 is considered modest. My voltage was set at 1. 45 and temps never went above 60c under load. I really don't think the cpu would fail under these conditions. I don't have another machine to test out the cpu or motherboard unfortunately, what else can i do?

Usb And Unknown Orange Connector
I have questions regarding my usb2. 0 connectors and this strange orange connector coming from my front intake fan. I think that this orange connector is a connector that goes to the chassis header right? The other 2 fans dont have this connector. Now the two usb 2. 0 cables, i know where they go, but i dont know which row they go on, whether its top or bottom. I assume top, because both cables have 1 row of 5 pins, and as u can see from the picture, the header has a bottom row of 4 pins, and a top row of 5 pins. Which row do i connect the cable to?

Laptop Hdd Interface Unknown
I bought a used dell lattitude cpx to build a digital picture frame with. I want to remove the harddrive and replace it with a flash part. My original idea was to get a $20 ide to compact flash adapter, however, my laptop isn't ide and i'm not really sure what it is. It might be some kind of mini-scsi. Here is a link to a picture of the interface, does anyone know what that interface is?
The drive itself is some kind of mini-ide, and the drive bay converts the mystery interface to mini-ide, i guess i can always do this. Mystery interface -> mini-ide - using the drive bay itself
Mini-ide -> ide - i'm assuming i can find that adapter online somewhere
Ide -> compact flash - i've seen these adapters around for about $20
Am i overlooking something? With all of these connectors is there any problem getting power to the flash chip?

Keyboard Keys Are Messed Up - Get Unknown Letters ƒ±ƒ
When i use my keyboard some of the keys are messed up. For example when i push the colon, semicolon button i get these unknown letters / characters ƒ±ƒ'. When i want this & instead of shift 7 i have to push shift 6. This has just recently started. Is there a way to fix this?.

Chkdsk Unknown Error Raid Volume
@ raid 6 volume on areca 1222 controller: i have some files and directories i can't delete, move because they are corrupted. I asked windows to perform a full check on this storage volume but it always ends with "unknown error" after having supposedly found and deleted some orphan files. What are my options? I have an ass load of large files on this array and no extra space to move and rebuild. Side note:- i know everyone can have different experiences but i will not forgive seagate for the 1. 5 tb hdds fiasco. Cursed be the day i decided to go with these drives for my array. I've had 4 of them spaz-out or die on me with different controllers, pcs.
