Computer Isnt Recognizing Dell Printer Being Plugged In

I had restored my computer a while back and since then the computer wont recognize my dell v305 printer as being plugged in. The weird thing is that it did not come with an install disk, and is supposed to install itself when plugged in. What do i do?

My dell inspiron 1545 laptop when the charger is plugged it says "plugged in, not charging" what does it mean? My laptop is a little beat up it fell on the floor a while ago and like the charger port is kinda bent but its been working awhile like i move the charger until it says its charging but lately i have to have it plugged in but it doesn't charge at all it just says plugged in not charging and now tonight leaving it plugged in doesn't work so please what do i do whats wrong?

My Computer Stopped Recognizing Internal Hardware
I have a dell inspiron 1501 running windows vista, and one day when i tried to turn it on the sound icon showed a little red image circle with a white "x" in it. When i mute it, it just shows a red circle with a slash. My computer then told me my sound device wasn't installed. Then i go to get online to try to figure this out, and a caption came up saying the my wireless card wasn't installed. Then, i go to plug in my itouch and none of my usb ports will work because it won't even charge my ipod. This has never happened before and i'm really frustrated. So i have come to you on my mother's desktop.

Answer:- then if its not the battery then the charger has pretty much had it and can only be used when power is gained from a source (plug socket). Buy a new dell laptop charger.

Computer Reboots When Usb Drive Plugged In
I have a 310m 2themax psu on the computer and a a7v400-mx se mobo. I cannot get the sound working and i am pretty sure i have wires it up properly. Sometimes when i plug in a usb drive the computer reboots. This happens alot. The speakers do work on other things but no output comes to them when i plug them into the computer. I used to have 3 fans running on it but then unplugged a few when it started rebooting. It has a 2800 amd athlon+ and uses onboard video, i also have a spare fx-5200 lying around. It has a 120gb hdd and a dvd burner. I think the psu, rates at 310w, should be able to handly it. I'm not sure what the problem is, anyone got ideas?

The printer can still print scanned documents and documents from our computer, but it can no longer send scanned documents to our computer. (It requires the dell all-in-one center to do that which doesn't work on hp computers. ) I want to know if there are any programs that are like the dell all-in-one center, but that are compatible with both the printer and the computer that will allow me to send scans to the computer. If not, is there any other way of being able to do this?

Sounds like the cord inside the laptop that connects the keyboard and trackpad to the motherboard of the laptop is lose. If it is under warranty take it in for repairs, if not then open it up and plug it in tight. Also make sure no moisture is around plug while you have it open.

I have a netgear router that i plug into my xbox to connect to xbox live. I always have everything that needs to be plugged in to connect to xbox live (the plug for the router, the cable, and the network cord to connect into my xbox and the router. And xbox live gold membership). The problem is. My router suddenly shut off. I turned it back on and everything lit up except for the cable signal. Ive tried unscrewing and screwing back in the cables, unplugging and replugging in everything, restarting my router and xbox and nothing is working for the cable signal to show up. The Dns Server Isnt Responding
Yesterday night i surfed the web, then somehow it stopped working. I tried using the internet in every program, yahoo messenger, firefox, ie, no were works, except torrent downloads. I tried to put the opendns's, they won't work either. Restarting the router won't work either. I am using windows 7, and at the network and sharing center it looks ok, shows as connected to the internet. I get this error while troubleshooting. I also tried to disable the microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter, that won't work either. Tried to put a static ip, won't work either. I have a laptop using windows xp, on which the internet is working. I also got an exact same laptop, with windows 7, again, internet is working. I really have no idea what is wrong. I tried disabling the antivirus and firewall, to see if it works, but nothing. I also made sure i don't have any bonjour software installed, such as mdnsresponder.exe. Tried flushdns, didn't work, the google dns didn't work either. I am not sure the problem comes from the dns, all other computers have those dns's and are working. Did a virus scan too, with a different antivirus. And sometimes it's loading the page, but very slowly, and at that same time, if i try to load another page, it won't work again. It just say "looking up (ex.google.com)" at the bottom of the firefox browser. It sometimes happen to work, but stops after 5 minutes. I even went to the extreme, and reinstalled windows, the problem persists. I honestly never encountered something so difficult to solve.

Wifi Isnt Working For Mac
Ok so i have a regular computer. And a laptop. And have a d-link router wbr-1310 and i've had sme problems i've never had with this router recently. It's well connected to the internet, the regular computer works. Working great, connected to the internet. So now. I have the laptp. Which usually is connected by the wifi connection. And from what i see the wifi is connected well. The lights are one.connection is connected. But it doesn't connect to my laptop. I look at my laptop (mac) settings. And it says the airport connection is connected but the ethernet isn't? And this has happened to mea couple times in the last week or 2. So what i usually did was reset the router. Windows Not Recognizing Mouse
I'm trying to fix a machine for someone with an old pc. I can't get the machine to pick up the ps/2 mouse that is connet via a serial port. I have tried a different mouse, and have even tried a usb mouse but nothing works. All hardware components are registered in device manager (i.e.com ports & usb ports) so i'm sure they're all working. The pc is running win98 if that helps!

Problem Recognizing Cd Burner
I have two computers and nether of them will accept my magic spin cd burner. I first tried it on an older dell computer with the windows sp2, didnt work, i kinda figured it wouldnt because its a dinosaur. Now i got a 2003 gateway essental with sp1 on it. Its got alot of add ons like vodoo3dfx card and sound blaster. One 52max cd-rom. I have tried to put the burner on slave but i dont get anything. If i take the standard out and put the burner on master it wont do anything. On all settings it powers up but the computer wont read it.

Rivatuner Not Recognizing Catalyst 9.6 Drivers
For my 4890. I open up rivatuner and can tune not a thing because its not seeing my drivers, apparently? I just recently got the 4890 an formatted my pc so i would have a fresh install. Before i formatted the 9. 6's worked fine with my 4850. Any suggestions?

Windows 7 Not Recognizing 2nd Drive
Built a system with (2) hard drives. The primary drive is a 30g ssd drive where the win 7 o/s is installed on. The 2nd drive is a wd 1 tb drive that i wanted to install all my games on. Problem is, it's not found in win 7. When i boot up, it's listed in bios. D/loaded a wd utility called "western digital lifeguard diagnostics" and that too does not recognize the wd drive. I'm at a loss, any tips?

I set up the raid array and set it to striping and 16k to start. Now i stick in my os disk to install windos xp and it goes to the blue loading screen, and loads a bunch of crap, and then it asks me if i would like to continue and i hit enter, and it goes. Now " setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. Make sure any hdds are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer supplied diagnostic or setup program. Setup cannot continue, press f3 to exit. Well my bios detected both drives, and has them both listed as master drives, and setting up the raid array worked also, so now im just confused lol.

Windows 2000 Not Recognizing Proper Hd Size
My previous wd hd failed, and got a replacement from dell today, a 250 gb one. Even though my bios is quite happy to acknowledge that it's 250, my windows 2k isn't, nor is the fdisk from my diagnostics boot cd or my partition magic. They all claim it's 127 gb, and as such i can only create a 127 gb partition of of it. Does anyone know about this kind of problem or even a solution to it?

I have an iomega 1tb usb drive connect to my vista (x64) ultimate pc. I have to manually power off and then back on for the pc to recognize it. This occurs even after rebooting. It works with xp fine. Any thoughts?

Asrock Aod790gx Motherboard Is Not Recognizing Video Card
I just purchased a new rig and i'm having an issue getting the motherboard to recognize my graphics card. The issue being that i get no video signal on my monitor when i plug it directly into the card. My question is, is there something technical here that i'm not seeing? Maybe the pci-e slot is broken (a way to verify this?)? I'm almost 100% sure that the card is compatible as i have seen various reviews by people using nvidia cards on this board. Motherboard: asrock aod790gx/128mb
Video card: asus en9800gt 512mb
Note: i know that the card isn't dead as i plugged it in another board and the card worked fine.

Video Games Not Recognizing 3rd Mouse Button On Mx1000
It seems that lately that my games are no longer recognizing the "3rd mouse" button on my logitech mx1000. It's very strange, considering it's been doing this just today! However to make it even stranger, i can use it when out of game (i usually use it to initiate my scroll on web pages). Anyone have any ideas why now, in-game i can no longer use it? I recently downloaded the most current drivers for it via logitech, including their setpoint software.

I recently downloaded the most current drivers for it via logitech, including their setpoint software.

Xp Tablet 2005, Old Ide Hard Drive, Not Recognizing Hdd
Trying to do a fresh install for someone on his gateway tablet (cx2610). Once the xp setup disc loads, it says it can't find any hard drives to install to. The laptop boots find to the hard drive and loads windows, and the bios detects it too. Do i need to install additional drivers? How can i do it without a floppy drive? Slipstream them into the os disc? Nlite? Never done it before, and i don't know what drivers i need.

Plugged In Not Charging
I have the hp g60 laptop with windows 7 and i am having power problems? I'll have it plugged in on somewhere like a desk and it will do things like randomly disconnect itself so it looks like it's plugged in but it's running on battery. Often when i do plug it it the little battery symbol will say plugged in, not charging. I've taken it back to the store to have my connector fixed as it was broken, but it hasn't solved the problem.

Usb Plugged Into Pc Will Shut Pc Off
Ok so my friend has an emachine and here is the issue. Certain usb devices that get plugged into the pc will shut the pc off in a matter of seconds and then windows will do a boot loop if the device is still plugged in. Normal things like mice and keyboards don't cause the effect, but bigger devices such as external hd's, or ipods or what not will cause it. Not sure why? And yes if you unplug the device, windows will boot like normal
Things i have tried:
Uninstalled usb, then let it reinstall itself. Different psu
Restore points, just in-case its software. Reset bios
It was working fine for say 2 years, then just all of a sudden this, so i'm still thinking its probably software related, but ya never know. Also i'm going to try to do a repair install of windows just in-case. Also its windows xp sp3. Usb ports are usb 2. 0 using the ones in the back on the mobo.

How Many Drives Can Be Plugged Into One Cable ?
I'd like to get as least cables as possible and i have 4 hard drives that i was thinking of chaining together onto one cable on the psu but i don't wanna draw too much.

Pc Crashes When Ethernet Plugged In
Pc crashes when ethernet plugged in. Sometimes wont see network cable. Replaced a motherboard in a computer and now when i go to plug the cat5 cable into the lan plug on the mobo, the computer crashes. I got it to stop crashing but now it cant even see that the network cable is plugged in. Any tips/suggestions? The mobo is a solar energy sis741gx board. Cheap board as it's for a socket 462 amd processor. Internet works fine on all other computers in the place.
