Is It Possible To Connect A Laptop To A Tower ?

I have the monitor cord to do so, but i keep getting a black screen. I was wondering whether or not it is possible to hook a tower up to a laptop and have that information from the tower be displayed on the laptop (like making the laptop into a monitor, more or less, with the capabilities of using the laptop's keyboard and mouse). I know it's possible to hook my laptop up to my computer monitor, but is it possible to hook my laptop up to my tower and have it work?

Angle Of Pc - Tower Does Not Fit Flat
I have a small desk and as such my pc tower does not fit flat in the only space i can put it in. As it is it now rests upwards at a 25 degree angle (leaning back away from me). I haven't noticed any problems with either the optical drive or the hd but i thought i'd post this just in case i was causing it any permanent damage.

Dell Xps 435 Mt Mini Tower In Thermaltake Armor Case
I have a dell xps 435 mt mini tower and just bought a thermaltake armor case because the cooling in the dell case sucks. I have almost everything together but am stuck at one part. On the front case power button and led connections in the dell it has its own 9 pin connector. Well on the thermal take case it has 4 individual connectors. I need to know if anyone knows what is what pin? I have power led, power sw, hdd led, and reset sw on the thermaltake armor case. Any help would be appreciated. Also the power led is a 3 pin connector instead of a 2 pin connector so i need to know where that would go. I have contacted dell and they are useless as usual.

How would i connect my laptop to my tv? I have a studio 17 laptop with vga and hdmi outputs and a tv with standard yellow, white, and red rga inputs. Any help on what i would use to connect to tv? I have external speakers so audio is not a problem. Answer:- unfortunately, vga and hdmi are not compatible with the composite rca jacks on your old low-definition boob-tube tv. Don't even think of buying one of those vga-to-rca cables. That will never work. Those are intended for video cards with specially-built vga ports that can send out a composite signal, and will not work with just any vga port. The vga port on your studio 17 is not one of those specially-built ones. If you want to connect your studio 17 to an old boob-tube low-definition tv, you need a signal converter box that can translate vga to composite. I would strongly recommend against that though, because the picture you get on that low-definition boob-tube tv will be extremely poor. Old low-definition boob-tube tvs are utterly unsuitable for use as computer monitors. Vga and hdmi works best with high-definition flat-panel tvs.

I have a problem hooking up my tv to my laptop. The lap. Is recognizing my tv as a monitor but the tv is still blank. If i change the setting to external monitor i cant see my screen on either tv. We have a vga cable with blue green and red ports and the same on our tv. We have tried all other channels and still cant find anything. Right now i have it set up to show things on both monitors but again nothing on the tv. I got it to flicker on when i restarted but after that it went to blank screens for both and i had to disconnect to get my normal comp screen back. Is there a genius in the house?

So i was thinking i could just buy a male to male vga cable (so i can use it on other tvs too) and buy an adapter that converts s-video (which my old tv has) to vga (which the tv doesn't have) to plug the mm vga cable to the adapter, and then to the tv. How do you connect a laptop computer up to a printer ? I bought an hp laptop and im trying to hook it up to an hp 1600 series printer. I have been through control panel and printers and devices. I also put the c-d from the printer into my laptop and tried to put it on there. I don't know what to do?

Answer:- follow the below steps:
1. Check whether your monitor has a dvi (digital) or vga (analog) port, both of which are generally built in.contact your vendor if your laptop does not have either. In this case, you can use a special adapter to connect the external monitor. These adapters are model specific and should be bought directly from the vendor. 2.connect one end of the dvi or vga cord to the dvi or vga port of your laptop and the other end to the monitor. Your laptop should automatically identify the external monitor as a new hardware device. 3. Most laptops will show the desktop on both screens by default, which is known as the mirror view. You can use function keys with common combination such as fn + f5, fn + f3, fn + f8 and fn + f9 to toggle between the two screens. Refer to the laptop's user manual for the right key combination to toggle between the displays. Alternatively, with many laptops you can also switch to the extended desktop mode. This means your desktop screen will be stretched across both the monitors. Refer to your user manual to switch to this mode.
