Lexmark 3400 Printer Problem
I have a lexmark 3400, and it sometimes, out of random, while its turned off even, make noise. Like, that sliding clicking noise that printers do. Its not a problem, sometimes amusing, when i have friends over and it randomly starts going off and everyone is like "***. " Just wondering what could be causing it and if anyone else has experienced this.

Lexmark 3400 Scanner Problem
I have a lexmark 3400 printer and i just finished taking the printer apart to fix a small switch that was causing a "cover open" error, but not the scanner head jams. When it begins to scan, the head moves left a bit smoothly, then goes back right, then jams and repeatedly clicks while the belt tries to pull it but it wont move. Is there a way to fix this? Do you think i broke it because i had to take the ribbon wire off and put it back in? Is there a way to take the glass/cover off to try and un jam the head?

Answer:- you don't need yahoo's server name to setup a wireless printer. You need to read the user's manual that came with your printer, usually on a cd that was in the box, to set up the printer to work with your system. A wireless printer requires that you have a wireless access point or wireless router. This, in essence, creates a network, albeit a very small one with just one computer and printer attached, but more can be added. It may also be possible to setup a wireless computer as the wireless access point to connect to the printer directly using an ad-hoc network setup, but im not sure how easy or feasible it may be since ad-hoc networking is usually done for computer to computer connections and may be tricky to setup for a printer.

I have a all in one lexmark x4270 which i use only for faxing the papers out (don't receive faxes coz it's cartridge is out). Now i want to buy a laser printer. So i was wondering if it is possible to connect these to together so that incoming faxes can be printed through the laser printer. I have an aspire one running on windows 7( light). My canon printer is hooked up to my other computer (xp) wirelessly through a dp link modem. When i print wirelessly with it, it says something like, "printing on canonxxx through dplink". I am trying to make the aspire print that way as well. I have downloaded the drivers and can print if i hook up the aspire directly to the canon printer. I've tried the install printer option on the aspire, but it doesn't find any devices nor any printers. I can easily access the internet through the aspire on the dp link modem. We have the brother dcp-770cw wireless printer and it works by connecting the printer to our wireless network, we have recently got a new network provider which is virgin broadband, and we have changed the settings on both laptops and printer, but it still doesn't seem to work. When i installed it again, it said that it had failed to proceed to connect to device, i have uninstalled it and re-installed it several times but still does not seem to work, i am currently using the usb cable, but this isnt why we bought a new printer, we have multiple computers and laptops in the house which we use frequently and it would be more sufficient if it was wireless, any ideas?

I currently have an athlon 64 3000+ s754, 512mb ddr corsair value select, abit kv8 pro (via k8t800 pro chipset) mobo, ati x850xt agp and an enermax coolergiant 380w. I can get a 3400+ for 180$ canadian and the 3700+ for 280$ canadian. I'm wondering if it's worth buying a 3400+/3700+ or is it better to overclock my current cpu ?

Which do you think is a better printer, epson or lexmark? I hate them both - possibly lexmark a little more. Both have been sued (successfully) by their customers on more than one occasion. So to be honest - they both suck. They both have terrible customer service. They both make crappy printers. They both charge far to much for their ink and they both have been sued repeatedly by their customers. The only reason why i like epson a little more is sometimes you can find non epson branded cartridges, which will save you money on the running cost. They both have the audacity to charge in some cases upwards of $20 for a cartridge which prints 60 pages.
