Sony Vaio Blu Ray Computer Cant Play Dvd
I bought a sony viao blu ray computer, i cant play the blue ray dvd? It said it had to update some key, but it didn't do that. I bought the computer and the blu ray dvd a year ago and didn't find it until now. Should i phone sony or what? I think it said the acca key or something. And i know nothing about any keys. I just set up the computer and that was that. Anyone know what i can do. Does this mean i can't watch any blue ray movies?

Lg Blu Ray Drive Issues
I had to recently rebuild and reinstall my pc, now on my blu ray drive (lg dvd/rw hd-dvd/br rom) corel windvd 9 isn't picking up any region or even region changes that are present, previously it was set to region 2 (i live in europe) and have 4 changes remaining. The odd blu raytitle i can play but most i can't sue to this so any help would be appreciated. As iv had similar problem with my previous br drive but it didn't loose the remaining changes so it isn't just my present drive.

Video Card To Watch Blu Ray Movies
I would appreciate if someone could advise me to chose a best video card to watch blu ray movies on full hd lcd tv and to play games on it. I have a x58 intel motherboard with a i920 processor and a 800 watts sli power suply, and also 6mb triple channel. My computer monitor only has 1280 x 1024 resolution and i'm not thinking to expend money change it. I am in doubt between use 2 video cards (cross fired) or to buy a card with 2 processors on it. So i have these questions:
What is best in cost benefit between this two options?
Since my motherboard is ati crossfire ready, is it an advantage to buy ati cards to cross then fired? Would any nvidia cards crossfired works as well?
Is it realy important to have an hdmi out on card, or dvi out (with adaptor) would gonna be fine?
Using s-video output, do i loose video or audio quality (or both)?
Does any card output audio and video togheter? Or, do i have to conect audio from the motherboard to the card (if it is possible) in order it outputs audio?

Is the ati mobility radeon hd 5470 gpu graphics that much better than the intel graphics media accelerator? I'm trying to decide whether to spend the extra $50. 00 to have the ati graphics card put into my vaio notebook but i'm not sure whether i should just stick with the basic intel hd. Lg Ggc-h20l Optical Blu Ray Drive Disappears In Vista
I purchased a lg ggc-h20l blu ray/hd dvd combo drive. Running vista ultimate 32 bit w sp2. The thing seemed to work fine but then after a week or so it disappears from my computer and find new hardware sees nothing. I disconnect the drive and plug it back in and once booted up again the drive reappears. It lasted a couple days and same thing again. I thought it a bad cable. Replaced the cable and same thing keeps happening. Anyone seen this? Is my drive bad and should i rma the thing or is there firmware or driver update or something else?

Alright, i'll make this short and sweet. I want to free one of my sata ports up so i can install another hard drive. My motherboard has a built in esata port on the back. Is it as simple as moving my blu ray sata cable to the esata jack on the back? Aesthetics mean nothing, this computer is hidden.

Can the dvd/cd driver ( lite-on combo sohc 5236v) record dvd+r? I know it can record cd-r and cd-rw. But when i try to record with dvd+r most programs can't detect the media. Like nero, power iso, dvd decrypter, ashampoo. I've tried all of them. And they can detect or find it. So maybe i was wondering if this computer is incompatible with burning dvd+r.

Lite-on Dual Layer Dvd-rw, Incredibly Loud Noise

Dell 2400 Won't Work With Lite-on Dvd Burner
Why wont my dell 2400 work with my lite-on dvd burner? I have a dell 2400 with a factory equipped cd rom burner. I took it out and put in a lite-on dvd rom burner but it acts like nothing is there. Uninstalled Cd Dvd Driver
So ages ago in norton i was messing around with its startup manager. And the list of things was long before i went at it , now its down to 4 or 5 programs. . This was not a problem, my laptop worked fine, until i realized my cd dvd driver doesn't work any more. It sounded like it was loading up a cd/dvd but then it just stops & does nothing. And when i go into my computer it didnt even read it had a cd/dvd in it. I'm not sure if this is to do with me messing around with startup manager & deleting nearly all the items from the list or not, but the problem occurred after i did so. Anyway. I went into device manager on my laptop and tried fixing the problem with my cd dvd drive (it had a yellow triangle exclamation mark beside it) but it wouldn't fix itself. I also ran that 'fix it' thing for windows and it detected the problem but couldn't fix it. So i ended up uninstalling the whole drive. Wrong Dvd Rom Driver
Unfournately winxp installs a new driver for my dam dvd-rom and now it wont read anything! Its a sony ddu1612 and the driver winxp installed for no reason was some snnx ddu0602 or something and it screwed me.

I got a dvd burner, or what i thought was a normal dvd burner from newegg, and i went cheap and got this lg dvd-ram drive i guess it what it is actually referred as. So now i tried to burn an iso onto a dvd and nothing works, windows even says its like a cd-rom drive. So i hit the internets and found out everyone has this problem and cannot find a driver download anywhere just mentions of people finding it on other forums but i cant get it because i'm not part of the forum. So i cant find it and getting really irritated, i hope you guys can help me out the model exactly is an lg, hl-dt-st dvd-ram gh22np20

I'm running a sony dvdrw (dw-u18a) and i think i've somehow messed it up badly. The pc only recognises it as a cd drive and not a dvdrw, thus meaning all writing to cd or dvd isn't happening. And i'm also having trouble reading cds as well i think. This has happened before and i've fixed it by uninstalling and removing said drive then putting it back in and have xp recognise it and all is well. If that was to fail i'd uninstall nero and/or roxio remove the drive place my old cdrw in its place make sure that worked then reinstall the dvdrw and remove the cdrw. Howver this is not a solution anymore, whichever cd drive i use i have the same problems. So i think there is either a problem with aspi corruption or drivers corruption. So i think i need the driver for my dw-u18a. Problem is the drive is an oem and sony don't support their oem drives at all so i am up a certain creek without a paddle. Apparently the drive is the same as the sony dr530a and is actually a lite-on drive. Any ideas how i can get this working again.

Lite On Sosw-852s Firmware Upgrade
I believe my drive needs a firmware update to be able to burn on 16x dvd media. It's a lite-on sosw-852s, but is also know as a relabeled sony drive. Liteon doesn't seem to have any new firmware for this drive on its website? Am i missing something or is there any other way i can use my 16x dvds in this drive?

P4x400 Dragon Lite Compatibility With Geforce Fx 5700
I need a good graphics card for my system . The specs of it are
Mbo - soyo p4x400 dragon lite
Ram - 2x 512mb
Hdd - 1x120gb, 1x80gb
Drives - 1 dvdrw, 1 cdrw
Power supply - 400w max
I tried radeon 9800 with no success and end up doing a rma on it. Does anybody know which card work fine a soyo p4x400 dragon lite with the above specs. Is p4x400 dragon lite compatible with geforce fx 5700?

Required Cd/dvd Driver Missing - Inject Drivers Into Boot.wim, Or Install.wim
Here's my hardware/os:
-Microsoft vista ultimate 64-bit os(purchased separately (brand new & legit), so as to install "fresh" on my:
-Asus p5b-premium vista edition motherbard; (no its not a joke, the board is actually called vista edition)
(With the onboard intel ich8r sata controllers, . And a jmicron jmb363 pata/sata controller)
-Intel quad-core cpu
-(2) rators striped across the ich8r sata controllers
-(1) pioneer "sata" dvr-212d dvd/cd on the jmb363 sata controller. -As a test, i tried an unattended install with my 'ole winxp pro, and by using nlite, and/or editing the winnt. Sif, .configuration text files its fairly easy to have an "unattended" mastered dvd install of (32-bit)winxp pro. , And it works "flawlessly", and freakin fast with the hardware above, and without floppy-drives, usb-flash drivers, . Note: the jmicron-jmb363 sata controller is very buggy, and "slow" in vista-64bit, when you install a cd/dvd in the drive evrything freezes up, usb mouse, . For a few seconds then its ok? However, in winxp pro it all works great!
I'm a newbie at vista ultimate 64, but microsofts' waik, winpe, xml complicated text files seems even more complex, considering, i'm not deploying workstations, i just want to inject the needed sata controller drivers into the appropriate. Vista ultimate 64-bit image file(s) to boot and install from the one dvd. But, it still doesn't want to work (see below site exmples for details)

As there has been much talk about overclocking the 4x dvdrw drives to 8x i have noticed that many sites have instituted a defacto blackout of this information. I understand the potential for hoseing your drive but this type of information has been free flowing on previous models and like situations with other manufacturers drives. Has anyone else noticed this? Are my web searching skills lacking (more than likely) it would be a bummer if this is the shape of things to come in the hardware modification world .

Are Anti-static Bags Uv Ray Resistant ?
Im looking for a bag i can use to store some backup dvds that need to last for at least 10 years. I have anti static bags lying around everywhere but i cant seem to get any definitive info on if they are uv ray resistant or not. If they arnt, dou you guys have any opinion on what i can use? Im also going to put the dvds in one of those space saver bags and get all the air out - is this a bad idea?

Headphones $100
I currently have a pair of sennheiser pc-151s (headset) but i never use the microphone and i find them to be quite uncomfortable. So i am going to sell them on ebay and get a pair of decent headphones instead. Main usage will be for playing pc games (fps mostly) and occasionally some music (no particular type of music). The budget is flexible, but in the region of £65 ($100). Though electronics tend to be more expensive here in the u. K so that kinda throws the currency conversion out the window. Currently using the asus p5q pro's integrated audio:
Audio chipset: realtek alc1200
Audio channels: 8 channels
Would it be a good idea to get a sound card for headphones in this price range?
