Laptop Will Not Start Until Disconnect And Reconnect Battery

I bought a brand new presario laptop. It works great, but sometimes when you press the power button, nothing happens. Only when i eject the battery and plug it back in will it come on.

Internet Disconnect And Reconnect Every Few Minutes
Why does my internet disconnect and reconnect every few minutes? I use wireless internet for my pc, and when i use the internet, it works fine for 3-5 minutes then after that, it just disconnects. I already switched my wireless channel and nothing seems to help.

If Disconnect Laptop Screen, Will External Screen Still Work ?
If i disconnect my laptop's screen, will an external screen still work? I have an acer aspire5315 laptop. What i am doing is i am putting it into a custom case that will not fit the built-on screen. The laptop does have a vga output (so i can connect it to another monitor, or hdtv. ) So, if i disconnect the laptop screen completely from the motherboard, will an external one connected via vga still work?

Laptop Battery Life
I have a toshiba m15 and although the display shows 3 hours of battery life i really barely get a hour out of it(i know this model is probably a few years old), has the battery life/quality made inroads since the last few years? Can one actually get 3 or 4 hours or more out of their batteries now? I probably need to replace that battery in my laptop, just wondering if maybe the newer laptops handle battery life better.

Hp Laptop Battery Problem
Yesterday evening, when i was charging the battery of my hp laptop (using window 7), there was a notification that the battery wasn't being charged and it stopped at 17% (before that it was working well). I troubleshooted the battery and it said health: replace. But this morning, my cousin took out the battery from the laptop and put it back again, the battery health's was good and it can be charged to 100%. However, this evening, when i plugged in the charger, it said the battery wasn't being charged again and the battery's health was replace. Please help, what do i need to do with my battery, do i need to replace a new one or fix something in it.

Laptop No Longer Recognizes Battery
I have a compaq armada m700. It works great except that for some reason it no longer recognizes the battery (which i know to be working and fully charged). The laptop just does not see it there. Recent happenings are as follows:
The battery latch broke, and the little metal piece that was between the plastic latch and whatever is underneath rattled a lot on the cpu fan which is right there. So i pulled this piece out (the fan screen was busted up enough to do so). Now it seems ever since that the laptop no longer recognizes the battery. I dont undertstand how this little piece could have effected it, as i would have thought the seating and touching the contacts for the battery would cause the computer to recognize it, apparently i'm mistaken. Laptop Dual Battery Issue
I was noticing under my battery/power options on xp pro (where is shows the blue battery(s) representing your laptop battery(s)) and next to it is a percentage showing remaining power left. Well i noticed the battery in bay1 gets drained 1st while the battery in bay 2 remains unused and stays at 100%. I've read that using both batteries at the same time, drawing from both instead of draining one at a time is better for the batteries and allows users to get the most life out of their batteries. Does anyone know how or where you would make a change to allow the laptop to draw from both batteries at the same time instead of one at a time? Any software, registry keys, bios settings, anything like that to make it do that?

Toshiba Laptop Battery Not Charging
Toshiba laptop battery not charging, but says its is and battery light is on? I have a toshiba satellite laptop a100 series. When plugged in with adaptor, laptop works fine. The battery light is on at the front (which i think means its charging it)

Laptop Battery Dead - Ac Adapter Not Working
My laptop battery is dead so there is no way i can do a backup or anything, and it wont charge because something is either wrong with the ac adapter, or the laptop itself, and i think its the latter. Basically im wondering and hoping if there is any possible way for me to get all the files off of my laptop. I have a 3 year accidental coverage warranty from best buy so im thinking they might just send it in, get the ac adapter fixed and send it back, resulting in no data loss ( ) but then also since when i got the laptop the case was a bit messed up and a part is broken, they might send me a new one, which would be a good thing, but then again, all data would be lost.

Do Larger Cell Laptop Battery Last Longer ?
I have a x205 toshiba that came with a 6-cell battery. On the ballanced (which i modified slightly to have it save a tad more power) it lasts about 2 hours. Toshiba's website offers a 9-cell battery, but the single review on it says it didnt give him any more life than the 6-cell. Not sure what the conditions were or if he used the exact same power settings, or was running the same programs (i would assume hed be smart enough to atleast do that)
But i was under the impression that more cell = longer life. Would this be correct? And based off the 6-cell, anyone venture to guess how much more life a 9 cell would give? (My guess would be maybe an extra hour?)

I have a sony laptop (vaio), and for some reason my battery runs out really quick . Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop Windows Has Failed To Start
I keep trying to turn my laptop on and i get: "windows has failed to start" with the options "windows startup repair" and "start windows normally". Now, neither work. I click on both, it will go to the microsoft loader screen then black. I ran the simple diagnostics test on it and got the error "stop: 0x0000007b (0x80599bb0, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)" i didn't see anything wrong with the motherboard or the hard drive. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

My apc battery backup keeps telling me that it needs a new battery because the current one keeps failing it's self-tests. Apc wants $80 for a new battery. My current ups is an apc back-ups ns 1250. When i look at the "current status" on the computer it says it's providing 192 watts of power. It can go up to 780. So i'm thinking it's a bit overkill for my setup. Do you think i should replace the battery or get a new, less powerful ups?

Constant Internet Disconnect
Well, lately i've noticed some dc's at first i was just playing world of warcraft, and i got a dc (which seriously hardly ever happens to me. It would be that someone pulled the plug of the router out or something). So i thought, meh could be something else. But past 4 days i've noticed constant dc's in 2 games that i play: wow and battlefield: bad company 2. So i contacted my provider and they couldn't really help me. They just told me basic amateur stuff such as: pull the plug out and back in. But, my sister downloads from limewire, she has for a long time, i always told her not to. But still she does. So i was thinking, maybe someone hacked our network because of limewire. Well, i was also playing battlefield today, for a few hours and the dc's usually happen every 25-50 minutes. So as soon as my sister came back home from work, she came home and rest, and just not too long after that, boom! Another dc while i didn't have any before she came home. Thing is, she also owns a blackberry, which i doubt it could be cos i don't think u can download things with malware from that thing. But maybe it could still be so. And i just went to my router-webpage and went to the lan- section. And i noticed all the way down of the page it has a little section with: 'dynamic dhcp client list', under that i get 'hardware address assigned ip hostname ' and i have one with the ip addres and all the stuff that is supposed to go along with it (afraid to tell you guys what it is though). And it says hostname computer. So i think that's just my computer or something, but under that i see another ip address and the whole line thing and the hostname is: your-0ifga41fpw , could that be something bad? Because i don't know if it belongs to me or whatever it is. I also resetted my modem + router. Didn't work. When i try to connect to the internet it connect then disconnect then reconnect and so on. Can anybody tell how to resolve this?
Answer:- i am assuming that you are using wifi and a router. This might be interference from a cordless phone or a neighbor who has a router using the same wifi channel. There are 11 channels to choose from in the router. Go in there and change the channel. Your user guide for your make and model will have the instructions for this. If you don't have a user guide download it from the maker's website. I you are not using wifi, then i must say the problem is either with your modem or the internet provider is having trouble. In both cases you need to talk with the provider.

Modem Disconnect Periodically
Why does my modem disconnect periodically? I am using a motorola modem and a belkin router. For as long as i remember, it has worked perfectly fine except for the fact that about every hour or two, the internet connection just cuts off somehow, and after about two minutes it will work just fine again. After the disconnection it will continue to run normally, until another hour or two later, when it will again disconnect and reconnect.

Safely Disconnect Hardware
For every hardware i connect to the usb port of the computer, i always make sure to safely disconnect it first before i unplug it from the computer. I make sure to wait till the icon disappears from the computer before i disconnect. However, even when i do disconnect from the computer, the screen of the hardware itself (my psp, mp3 players, pmp, etc) continues saying usb connected, even when i have safely disconnected it (note: it is still plugged into the computer but technically disconnected. Hope you get what i mean. ) The only thing that doesn't do this is my ipod nano 3rd gen, which i always use the itunes program itself to disconnect, and the little loading bar appears telling me when it is safe for me to physically disconnect it. Can anyone tell me the reason as to why the message never shows up on my hardwares? This hasn't really been a problem for me, but i always wondered why.

Router Disconnect When Get Phone Call
Why does my router disconnect when i get a phone call? I recently purchased a new cable modem and netgear router. Before this i had a different cable modem and a different netgear router. With the old ones, the phone could ring and the internet would be fine. Now, whenever the phone rings, the connection dies. I dont think it is the wireless signal being interfered with because i lose get disconnected even if i do not answer the phone. We have a coax splitter that splits the cable like and then one goes to a modem for the phone and the other goes to the new modem for the internet, which is then connected to the router. Why i am having this issue?
