Answer:- you might try running the print head cleaning utility (most likely the problem), or taking the toner cartridge out and shaking it side to side to redistribute the toner.

Hp Laserjet - Prints Directly To Printer Instead Of Spooling
How do i configure the hp laserjet pro p1100 to print directly to the printer instead of spooling? I shared the printer on the network using a windows xp desktop computer. I go to printer properties, and in the advanced tab, i click "print directly to printer" but when i click apply, it says operation could not be completed. And when i try printing using the macbook, it says printing 100%, when i check the status on the pc, it says spooling. So i tried pausing the print job on the mac and when i did, it suddenly printed the print job. How do i fix this glitch.

Random Onscreen Dots Of Color
My system is an asus m2n32-sli mobo with a 9800gtxoc, 6gb of memory along with a 6000x2. This is all on windows vista 64. I got home today and noticed random onscreen dots of color that appear in odd places. They appear on the white background of utorrent, they appear on some forums, and they also appear in counterstrike source, and some on vista menus. My first thought was this was a temperature problem, but after checking my temps ~60c (nothing special) and bumping my fan to 100% ( no overclocking going on anyway) they problem persisted. I further went into nvidia driver control panel and by changing the brightness and contrast, i noticed a large difference in dots depending on the setting. For example, at 42% contrast, the dots appear so much in this text box it is hard to see it. My cursor and the i-beam used in typing also affect where the dots are, wherever i move them there are no dots to the left. So what do you guys think this is? A dud card (i've had it since november)? It can't be temp related because i am and have been running very coolly. Is it perhaps something os level?
I am going to reset the card, reinstall drivers, see what bios is like, and then check back for ideas.

Hp Printer Prints Impressions In Paper
What is causing impressions in the paper from my hp 2600n printer? There are weird impressions all down the right side of every page it prints. The impressions are the same on every sheet. How can i fix this?
Answer:- if they're actual impressions into the paper, and not simply toner marks, then most likely it's being caused by the fuser assembly. But, if there are no actual indentations in the paper and it's only toner marks, then it could be one of the toner cartridges causing the problem or it could also be the fuser assembly. If it's one specific color, besides black, then it's a toner cartridge, but if black it could be the black toner cartridge or fuser. To fix it, you would need to replace the problem component.

I just printed out an essay, and some of the lines came out "blurry". It's probably because of the fact i'm using refurbished ink cartridges. Is there a way to fix this though? When i did an alignment/print test, i noticed that the rectangles for the black ink aren't filled all the way across(left to right) the paper to the right.

Can't install hp laserjet 5p, os is windows xp, im using a parallel port to usb adapter to make the connection? I recently acquired a hp laserjet 5p with a new toner cartridge. I know its works cause i turn it on a print a specifications page if you press the blue button on the front. The page comes out quite fast and looks impeccable. When i connect the printer to my laptop the via the "parallel port to usb adapter" windows installs a printer support. It does not recognize that it is a laserjet printer or even install a new printer at all. I have tried to install the printer via the control panel by plug and play (windows does not even see a printer to install) and have manually tried telling windows what it is connected to and it still will not send anything to the printer. Please help, i really need a printer and hate going to the library to print off homework.

Just yesterday my inkjet printer ran out of black ink, and it's been out of color for quite awhile. The thing is as old as the dinosaurs, and i'm looking into getting something better. 99. 9% of the time, i only print black and white, so i'm in the market for a new laserjet i suppose as i understand they're much better overall for just black/white stuff. The printer would be just for me and speed isn't of the essence, so i don't need something that cranks out a thousand pages per minute. I'm mainly looking for something solid and reliable that'll last me awhile. Budget is probably < $200.
