I am putting a computer together with these specs:

3000+ amd athlon64-bit
Amd a8v-e deluxe (socket939, pci-x)
512 ram
80gb harddrive
Dvd +/- writer

And i need a good priced video card that takes advantage of the 64 bit processor. Need dual monitor support, and tv out (in is a plus but not needed). Any suggestions?

Dual Monitor Using Integrated Video Card And Pci Card

I have an integrated video card as well as a pci card. Would i be able to set up dual monitors using those two ports? Or would i have to buy a multi-monitor card/another pci card?

Fanless Pci E X1 Video Card For Multi Monitor Support

I'm looking for a fan less pci-e x1 video card (not x16!). This is to add additional monitors to a daw; it must be pci-e x1. Fan-less is ideal, but if you have personal experience using other quiet pci-e x1 cards, i am open to suggestions! I'd prefer to stay away from the cad/workstation type cards.

Adding A Second Video Card For Dual Monitor + Tv

I currently have a 4870 and will get a new tv soon. A good amount of my media library is on my pc, so i want to be able to use it seamlessly. Here's the problem: i already have a dual monitor setup, and would have to sacrifice one dvi output for the hdmi connection. The other option may be the video-out, but i don't like the idea because i want the tv to use 1920x1080, proper hdtv. So i'm thinking i'll add a 4830, maybe 4850, this will give me plenty of outputs and also a bit of a performance boost thanks to crossfire. (Could get more if i bought a "bigger" card, but i don't play games much so it's not a big deal. ) The main concerns are silence and power consumption, but those are usually not a problem with that range of video cards anyway. Anybody have experience with this matter? Specific recommendations?

Laptop Dual Monitor Support

I'm looking to get a laptop that can be hooked up to two monitors for dual monitor support. I'm not talking about the laptop's lcd being one of them. I mean two actual monitors. Right now my workstation uses a nvidia 7900gt which has two dvi ports so i can hook up two monitors. Does anyone know if ibm or dell has any laptops that offers this feature? I'd prefer to go with them, but the dual monitor support is top priority so i'd switch companies for it.

Asus Maximus Formula Wont Support Dual Non Sli Video Cards?

I'm trying to add two different ati cards to an asus maximus formula in non-sli mode to allow me to use 3 or 4 monitors, but my pc wont boot with both cards installed. Why? I have an ati 4870x2 in the primary pci-e slot, and i've tried both an ati hd 2400xt and nvidia 8800gt - same problem with both. I'm using a 700w power supply, and there's no other pci or pci-e cards installed - i can't get any display or hdd activity. If i remove the second card, pc boots fine again. All cards have been tested individually and all are working ok. Does anyone have any ideas?

Laptop: Which Processor / Video Card To Use ?

I am preparing to buy a laptop and need help as to what to get in it. I am going to be playing dvd's on it and my daughter will be playing the sims on it. That requires a pentium 4 or better processor and a t&l capable video card such as ati radeon 8500 or better, nvidia or intel express graphics 82865 or better. What would you suggest:

Processor: an intel core duo, intel core 2 duo, pentium m or amd turion 64 x2. Video card: an ati radeon 8500, nvidia, or an intel gma 950 graphics card (is the gma 950 comparable to the radeon or nvidia?)

Any other suggestions that i should consider would be greatly appreciated, as this is the first laptop i have ever bought. My expected budget is between $800 and $1000.

Video Card That Support Resolution Of 2 Monitors Together

I want to add a second monitor. I probably can't afford another 225bw as it was about $500 and i'm a student, so i'd get a 19" acer or something - but what worries me is that, as far as i know, the maximum supported resolution for my card, as well as most others i believe, is 2560x1600. Something in that range, anyways. Now what i'm wondering is what i need to do as far as video cards. Since a 19" monitor at 1440x900 or 1280x1050 would bring my overall resolution to over 2560 wide, i think plugging a second monitor into the vga of my current card would prove pointless. So, since my current motherboard only has one pci express slot, i could pick up another pci video card - but clearly that wouldn't be in sli, how would that work? So, i suppose what i'm asking is, is there a video card that will support the full resolution of a 1680x1050 and 1440x900 monitor combined? Do i absolutely need to buy an sli-compatibly motherboard and two new video cards to make this happen?

Dual Vga Video Card

I'm getting a little fed up with trying to get two video cards to work together properly, mostly because one is new and one is old, and one's agp and the other's pci. They work fine really, but i'm forced to have the suckier pci card as the primary card since it doesn't like being a secondary card. Anyway, are there any recommendations for dual vga video cards? By this i mean cards with two vga ports for two crt monitors. I don't need anything special. I don't play games. The most graphics intensive thing i do is use the new google earth. The only thing i'd like is that it's able to get up to a resolution of 1152x864 with a refresh rate of at least 70hz. Any ideas? Is it even worth it?

That's right, i don't play any games.

Which Video Card To Buy For Dual Monitors ?

I would appreciate if someone could list 2 or 3 good video cards for me to look at in order to run dual monitors. I do not need them for gaming or any high end stuff. Purely low level work related things. There are so many video cards with different features i have no idea where to begin. I am going to purchase a 22inch lcd monitor for my main screen and then use my 17inch crt monitor on the side. Can someone offer me some suggestions to look at?

S-video Resolution On Dual Monitor Setup

I have an inno3d nvidia geforce4 ti4200 (agp 8x , 128mb ddr). It has a vga port and an s-video output, but no digital output. I'm considering buying an lcd/tv monitor (as a second monitor) and using the s-video connection to setup a dual monitor system. My concern is resolution when using s-video. The inno3d website says:

Optional tv-output support 1024x768 / 800 x 600 resolution

What do you guys think? Will i get a crisp 800 x 600 resolution using s-video input (assuming that the lcd/tv is decent)?

Also, i'm using windows 2000. Will i need to upgrade to xp in order to get dual monitor functionality?

Bios Not Using Full 4 Gigs Of Ram On 64 Bit Processor

So the problem i'm being faced with is that my bios understands that there are 4 gigs of ram, but tells me that only 3. 3 gigs are available. What i don't get is why it's doing this. I haven't the rest of the ram to anything else since there are no bios settings to do that (not even for my shared video ram) so i'm wondering where the other 700 megs of ram are going, since they're unavailable

And yes i do have a 64 bit processor, and i'm also running both ubuntu 64 bit and windows 7 64 bit so that's not the issue. Not that the os's matter since the bios is what's telling me that only 3. 3 gigs are available.

Eyefinity And 10 Bit Color Support

I have two hdmi 1. 3 (10-bit color supported) displays. I am considering getting an eyefinity card but i'd like to know if eyefinity supports this configuration:

* 10-bit color to each display (30-bit in total instead of 24-bit). I understand that the control panel says 32-bit color support however i am not sure if this is 8-bit x rgba or it can be set to higher bit depth; especially for hdmi 1. 3 and display-port outputs. * If the 10-bit is supported, would a display-port to hdmi 1. 3 pass the 10-bit color (rgb) to the hdmi display (i understand there is no dual hdmi version of eyefinity out there).

Cheap Dual Monitor Card

This is for my work computer, a e4500 dell with integrated video (g33/g31). Os = vista 32-bit. Monitors are 1600x1200. Have one pcie 2. 0 slot open. Doesn't need to be able to play the latest fancy games @ 1000fps. Just support two monitors, run stable, and cheap

Cheapest one i could find on newegg: pny vcg94512gxeb geforce 9400 gt 512mb 128-bit gddr2 $45 ($35 ar)
Overkill for what i need. Plus i don't really know much about pny. Anyone have other recommendations?

Windows 2003 Server 32 Bit Array Support

I am building a new server, everythings done short of hdds. With a dell perc 5/i i plan on running 8* 1. 5tb drives in raid5, giving me 10. 5tb array. Will windows 2003 server standard 32bit support such an array?

I will ofcourse be using gpt as is supported, but i wasn't sure if this size is possible. I currently on my old server which also has a dell perc 5/i have 4* 750gb in raid5, and the array size is 2. 04tb. I never could be bothered figuring out if that was the proper size or if i was being limited to some magical number.

Monitor / Video Card Problem

Ok so out of nowhere my monitor has these blue and red lines blinking all over the place. If i try to put the refresh rate at 60 hz where its supposed to be, it goes ape-**** crazy and i cant even read anything on the monitor because its going nuts. But, this problem is quite weird. I have an on-board video card, and my pci-e video card. I also have two monitors. The current hd monitor has the problem with the pci-e video card, but the other monitor works perfect. The hd monitor though, works perfectly with the on-board video card. So i have no idea if it is a monitor problem or a video card problem, since they both work under different conditions. The hd monitor works with the on-board video perfectly, while the non-hd monitor works perfectly with the pci-e video card. The hd monitor will not work in 1080p at all. The screen goes crazy when i try. I have to keep it at a low refresh rate and resolution to do anything on it. Odd. I know. Any help would be a great service. Btw. I already tried separate drivers for the pci-e card. I also redid my whole os totally. So thats not it either. I'm lost. Which doesnt happen very often, lol.

Video Card For Improving Video Quality On 22'' Monitor

I am seeking for help to improve the video quality of the 22'' monitor. It's samsung t220 and the max resolution it supports is 1680 x 1050. Currently, it's connected through vga with the onboard intel integrated graphics. Say if i connect a video card and then connect monitor through dvi, will i be able to see considerable improvement in the video quality? Please advise how do i get the best out of the monitor. Also, can i see hd content on this monitor? It does support hdcp. And i found this ati radeon 4350 hd video card - which looks decent enough for movies and casual stuff. I don't plan to game on this machine. Is this card fine for my purpose?

Video Card For 1680x1050 And 22 Inch Monitor

After years of great gaming with an 8800gtx it finally went out and i am now stuck using a old geforce fx 5200. Since i need a new video card for my system i would like to know what is recommended. I would like to know what video card you guys recommend for a gaming res of 1680x1050. This is off topic, but i am also considering upgrading my cpu from a q6600 to a e8500 although i could swear that i got a major performance boost when i went from a 2. 4ghz core2duo i forget the model to a q6600 g0 in crysis. I would like advice on this from other gamers. Is it worth the change for game performance?

My most played games are:

Fallout 3, mass effect, and witcher enhanced.

Getting Higher Resolution Monitor, Should I Upgrade My Cpu Or Video Card ?

My system is in my sig. I am planning on getting a larger monitor and going from 1680x1050 to 1920x1200. I know its not that much of a differance but i also have enough money to also get either a cpu (phenom ii 955) or a new video card (radeon 5770). About the only games i play is world of warcraft, burnout paradise, and battlefield 2, and 2142. Which would be the best for me to get, the video card or cpu?

Not that it really matters but i plan on getting the samsung t260hd.

Good Video Card Solution For A 3rd And 4th Monitor ?

I'm getting ready to ditch my x1900xtx, as seen from my other thread, and upgrade it. It'll be used for my 3rd and 4th monitors. Preferably in the $50-$150 range. My 3rd and 4th monitors are used for websites and movies (blueray). I use a 4870 as my primary on my 1st and 2nd monitors. On those, i do rendering, animation, and games, as well as movies. Since i'll be watching hd movies on it, would i need a good card, do you think?

I've been looking at a used 4770, and 4670. Do i need something better?

I've never done sli or crossfire, but do you guys recommend it? Is there a big performance increase?

Can't Uninstall Video Card And Switch Monitor From Digital 2 Analog

Just got off the phone with xfx tech support. Trying to remove / uninstall a graphics card that is connected to the monitor via a digital cable. When the card is removed or disconnected and the on-board graphics is connected via an analog cable, the monitor only shows an osd that says digital. I can't get any display via the on-board graphics which is an analog connection. My box is open! Already had the card out and boxed up but i can't get the original setup to work again, so i had to put the card back in. I do have a registry backup made with erunt before i installed the graphics card on july 12 and also a system restore point, but don't want to have to use that unless really necessary. Can someone help with this?

Dual Or Quad - Which Intel Processor Is Better ?

I am having k8t neo2 mobo and athlon 3500+ socket 939 processor. If my processor fails in future, i am planning to buy an intel cpu which is high end like either quad or dual processors. http://www.Intel.com/products/processor/core2quad/specifications.htm

In that page. Q9300 or q6600 is a good choice?

And a clock speed of 2. 50 ghz means is it each core has 2. 5 ghz or all cores combined makes it 2. 5 ghz?

And coming to mobos for those quad processors. http://www.Intel.com/products/desktop/motherboard/index.htm?Iid=mbd_body+dt_all

In that page, dq35mp or dq35jo mobos is a good one for quad processors? Or dp35dp is a better one?

Please give suggestion if my above choice of quad is good to go or some other?

Dual Display Support 1600x1200

What am i trying to do: i want to be able to setup another samsung 21 inch monitor so that i can play games on 1 monitor(using the native 1600x1200 resolution) and then use the 2nd monitor to support extended display(preferably using another dvi input instead of vga)-not at the same time. My card has 1 dvi and 1 vga. What can i get that would have dual dvi, and let me keep the 1600x1200 resolution on both monitors? There are many cards with dual dvi's-but i dont know whether they output 1600x1200(minimum) when connected to a dual display. The setup :

I have an ati 9800xt on an agp slot. I dont want to change my motherboard. I also have a samsung 213t(21 inch) monitor.
