No Signal To Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, No Beeps

My computer isn't very old, no more than a year, it's been working fine. No new software or hardware. I haven't moved it. This morning it wouldn't boot up properly. After clicking the button, it gave 1 long beep and 2 short ones. No signal to monitor. I didn't check keyboard or mouse. All fans appear to be working. I replugged everything to make sure nothing was loose, and turned it back on. No more beeps, still no signal to monitor. Keyboard and mouse aren't lighting up. I tried unplugging the power cord and pressing the button to clear the power. Still no beeps, no signal. All fans are still working. Any suggestions please?

Wireless Keyboard / Mouse With Good Signal

Right now i have a microsoft wireless comfort keyboard and mouse set. Its comfy and works well overall, except for the fact that the rf signal sucks. Unless the receiver and keyboard or mouse are in the same plane as each other on a table etc. Typing gets weird and the mouse pointer will move but i cant click. Even so much as a cup or remote control sitting between the receiver and mouse throws it off. I had a similar but older mouse from microsoft that i got for free that was crappy too, but dismissed it as being used and old. I'm convinced that perhaps microsoft rf desktop sets just don't cut it. So, unless someone has a solution or advice for the above problem - i'd actually like some suggestions for good wireless keyboards, mice, or sets.

I really only ever sit at most 6 ft (2m) from my computer, so i don't need something amazing and expensive, just better than what i have. Shortcut and media keys aren't a big deal, but would be nice. Battery life is also not a big deal, i have plenty of rechargeable batteries. In any case, can anyone chime in and tell me what they are using and what it performs like? What kind of distance can u get? Where do you have your receiver? What kind of possible interference are you dealing with? ( I have wifi, bluetooth and florescent lights that could be having an effect on the signal)

I also have a question about bluetooth sets. Can you use them in the bios or in the os without bluetooth software? Or do you have to wait till the os boots up fully?

Keyboard / Mouse Unresponsive

I had put in my usb flash drive, then my computer rebooted, so the computer boots back up, and now the keyboard and mouse functions do not work, i can no longer log into windows. I thought maybe it was a random thing, so i reboot again and it does the same thing, no response from my input devices. So i check to make sure these devices are still working by hooking them up to my other pc, sure enough, they still work. So then i test to see if i can even get into the bios. Well, thankfully i can, so it must be something while booting to windows after the post, cause the computer sees the hardware and lets me use it during setup, but not on the windows login screen. I even tried different ports, and different keyboard and mice ( ps2 and usb ) and they all will not work on this now dysfunctional pc. Can somebody help me as to why this is happening? This is rather strange, i changed no setting. Why working only in bios?

Keyboard / Mouse Freeze On Xp

The mouse always works until you try to type something, and then the keyboard and mouse quit working. The computer itself is not frozen. Sometimes the computer has to be restarted 5+ times to get it to work right. Do you think it is an issue with the keyboard, or the ps/2 ports? I could not find a virus. It has a cheap lite-on keyboard and roswill mouse.

Mouse Headset And Keyboard Under 30 Each

I'm looking at either the microsoft habu or the razer diamondback, how different is the diamondback in terms of shape since i found the habu to be very comfortable? Headset wise i'm looking at the plantronics gamecom 367 or the sennheiser pc151 headset i don't really like logitech since the last two headsets i've had were logitech and their sound quality has been pretty awful. This combined with the complete lack of durability (one of the earpieces in my current headset died randomly and the other one fell off and refused to reattach) has put me off logitech. I was looking at the saitek eclipse ii or something in that sort of price range. I'm only willing to pay up to 30 for any of the peripherals.

Bluetooth Keyboard / Mouse

I have a customer looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse but he needs it to go 16 feet without any issues. I think the bt ones can do that no problem but they all seem to cost $200! Does anyone know if there is a decent kit in the $100 range? If not are there non-bt models like the 2. 4ghz ones that can do that range?

I saw some of the logitech wave kits with 2. 4ghz but in the reviews cust said they started having problems over 10 feet. Any suggestions would be great he doesn't want to spend $200+ on a kb/mouse but he needs the range!

Keyboard And Mouse Stop Working

My mouse and keyboard started to be non responsive. I would be in the middle of writing a sentence, but all of a sudden my keyboard and mouse would stop working, then about 10 seconds later start up again. It wasn't a total system freeze, because chat messages would still appear on msn, and everything would still move about on screen when i was playing a game. This happened on and off for about 1 hour, until i couldn't get the keyboard or mouse to work at all. I booted my pc this morning, but my keyboard and mouse still failed to work. It would boot into vista and xp fine (im dual booting), but they still wouldn't work - even before i could get into windows. I reset cmos, i tried switching out the ram but nothing seems to work, and the problem seems to be getting worse. About 5 mins ago, i tried to boot into xp, but my whole system froze, and my motherboard let out a faint single beep. When i boot up, i get a single beep telling me that all (should be) fine. Anyone ever had this problem? Or anyone know how to fix it? I have tried different keyboards and mice, and i've tried plugging the usb ones in different sockets, but it didn't make a difference.

Color Keyed Mouse / Keyboard

Does anyone know where i can find a decent quality keyboard and mouse combo? The one on www.Newegg.com is sort of what i am looking for. Mitsuko is the maker of this "blue" set, and i have never hear of them. Is this manufacturer any good? I was looking for something along the lines of viewsonics keyboards, but the only one that i liked on newegg was the silver combo. This wouldnt go well with my dragon blue chieftech case if you get my drift. Anyone know where i could find the viewsonic line of keyboards in blue, or any other quality manufacturer? How is the quality of the mitsuko line of keyboard/mice?

Mouse And Keyboard Stopped Working On Xp

So i built a computer for a friend a year ago, and just recently it became cluttered with spy-ware and such from poor treatment, which caused the wireless card to stop functioning properly, anyways, i decided to clean it up and ran some antivirus and unlocker on it while in safe mode to delete some files which were undeletable in normal xp. After cleaning it, booting normally would take 10-20min load and when it did the mouse only worked. I said forget it so i reinstalled xp using a ps/2 mouse and keyboard, she had mce 05 before and i had professional on me, but mce is technically professional with some added bonus so it shouldn't matter anyway. So, i reinstalled xp and the keyboard and mouse (microsoft desktop wireless 3000 or something like that) functioned for a bit, and when they were detected by windows one froze up, so i had to plug in a ps/2 mouse and keyboard to use xp. I spent a long time, trying to install new drivers, disabling and enabling usb mouse and keyboard support in the bios, reinstalling windows, and it always ends with either the keyboard functioning and the mouse doesn't or the mouse functioning and the keyboard doesn't. Fast forward a week later, she bought a mouse and keyboard thats not wireless where both are usb, the keyboard works and the mouse stopped after two days. I'm very tempted to install some sort of linux and experiment in that direction but she needs windows applications, so any advice or solutions would help.

Decent Wireless Keyboard And Mouse

I had a logitech mx bluetooth set and i was pretty happy with it. Recently the batteries leaked and i just replaced them it worked for a few weeks and then one day the keyboard just didn't turn on. That set was an overkill, since i don't need the lcd (nor do i want the software on my pc) on it and the lack of numlock, etc sometimes caused problems. I bought a microsoft wireless optical desktop 3000 and it feels like cheap crap. I thought the mouse had back and forward buttons, but no it is just the plastic creaking. Furthermore i'm a *** linux junkie and can't stand looking at something microsoft on my desk. Can someone recommend a decent wireless keyboard/mouse set? I was thinking of the kensington, but i am not sure.
