9.12 Driver Causes Bad Pixel Lines
Replies: 1 | Post Date: 01-19-2010, 07:24 PM | User: Xjmtx | Forums: hardforum.comSo i installed 9. 12 drivers on my 5750 and got these strange multi colored lines across the higher portion of my screen and several sets of blue pixels that look sorta like || just randomly shambled along the bottom portion of the screen. When i uninstall the 9. 12 driver and use the default pnp display style the lines go away. I installed the hotfix hoping that it would, fix this issue, alas it did not. Also when i start the computer, the pixelation is not there until it actually boots into windows (not during post). So it's not a cable issue. It is only visible when the drivers actually start. I un/reinstalled the drivers 6 times re-downloading the package three of those times to ensure it wasn't a corrupt download or install. (Tried installing 9. 11 as well same thing)
Does anyone else have this strange issue when using a 5700 card on win 7? Any strange horizontal lines that are multicolored (also only one pixel tall) or multiple blue || marks scattered along the bottom?

Single Pixel Lines In Dell Inspiron Screen
As a bit of backstory, i've never worked hands-on with a laptop before. Somehow, i ended up with one as my primary computer. Please save the 'lolz get a real computer' comments until after you've given your expert opinions. Recently, some vertical lines have appeared in the screen. It has not been bumped, jostled, thrown, or dampened. It's a very spoilt little machine. I don't have a spare monitor to test for a screen problem, but i might be able to jack a friend's when he gets back from vacation. As far as i can tell from previous experience, i think the video card may be going. To be honest, i'd be much happier if that were the case, since i imagine screens are much more costly. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Does anyone have any idea what's up?

Random Pixel Lines When Play Trickster Game
Theres random "pixel lines" messed up all over the place in this game i play. Trickster online. In the mini map. On the background. On the sprites. If a sprite covers a spot where the pixels are messed up, the sprites pixels arnet messed up there. The sprites have their own spots of messed up pixel lines. If that makes sense. Bad Pixel On Lcd
On my new samsung widescreen monitor that i was so hyped about. I just noticed that there is a dead pixel on my screen towards the bottom. Since i just took it out of the box today i decided i should take use of the 3 year warranty. So i went online and i fished around to figure out how to do so. Samsungs policy is that on a 19 inch widescreen monitor you need to have 10 or more bad pixels to apply for a monitor replacement under the warranty. Im personally not happy with this, it sounds strange to say this but, is there a way to easily kill more pixels? (Or revive my one dead one, as far as i know that is not possible), according to google i have a "stuck" pixel and not a dead pixel (it shows up green, not black).

Bad 5870 Or Win 7 Driver Issues ?
I just got my 5870, did the standard uninstall, driver sweeper in safe mode in w7 64bit. Now after i put in the card and booted it up, w7 installed it as a standard graphics adapter, no matter what i do, it will not take the ati driver, now do i have a melon card or am i missing something?
Previous i was running 2x gtx 285 and i was hoping to get into the eyefinity gaming arena but it doesn't look like my first foray is very exciting so far.

Can't Install Xp - Driver Irql Not Less Than Or Equal To / Bad Pool Header
During windows setup, after the file copy, "windows is starting up" message appears, then pc blue screens with one of two messages:-
1: driver irql not less than or equal to
2: bad pool header
Again reformatted hdd on my pc, and this time got as far as the windows setup, but it stopped saying "could not load mouseclass.sys" then died again. Have tried different hdd, taken both ram sticks out and tried them one at a time, there are no bios beeps at post (bar the standad single beep). A mate suggested mobo and o cpu, but surely it would not copy the file from dvd drive to hdd if cpu or mobo were faulty? And woulndt there be a post beep code? Only thing abnomal i noticed was duron was running at 51 degrees, on a pc chips mobo, surely that cant be right? My xp2600+ only runs at 42 degrees afte hours under full load.

Bad Drive Or Bad Controller ?
I have a dell poweredge server that is running 5 drives in raid 5. This morning i get an error message and the wording isn't too clear. Perc 4/di controller 0, array disk 0:4 failed
Perc 4/di controller 0, virtual disk (virtual disk 0) degraded
So i look at my array manager and sure enough the 5th drive has failed. My question is, based on the error message, does this mean the controller itself is also having problems or was the drive the only problem?

Dell Integrated 1.3m Pixel Webcam
I'm thinking of buying a dell laptop (well, not really thinking as much as i'm going to, so please don't tell me that other brands are better :] ), and i'm trying to decide whether it is worth it or not to get the integrated webcam with it, or just to buy one that plugs into the usb port. Can anyone give me the rundown on the integrated camera? I can't seem to really find any information about it. Does it have a microphone, is it reliable, etc.

I have a toshiba satellite p35-s6112 with an ati mobility radeon 9000 igp video card that does not render many screen-savers well (lots of 'chugging' motion) and does not support any video games or screen-savers which utilize pixel shader 2. 0. Black Lines While Gaming
I have an nvidia geforce 7800gt and an hp mx70 monitor. I just recently encountered this problem where when there's heavy action in the game, black lines kind of flash in and out while playing. Not really so much to cause me not to be able to see anything, but enough to be a nuisance. Also, occasionally my display will kind of flicker and lines will come across the screen when there isn't anything intense happening.

My laptop has been doing this thing recently where horizontal lines appear on the display. It looks like static or interference maybe. I plugged it in to my desktop monitor to see if it was the graphics card or the display, the lines don't show up on the external monitor. Horizontal Lines All Over A Monitor
My friend is having a problem with jagged, horizontal lines covering his monitor. This obviously sounds like a video card issue and he fixed it for the time being by removing his graphics card and is running through onboard support at the moment. Does this mean his graphics card is fried/ruined or is it reparable?
We were trying to figure out why this happened to his 8800gt since it was purchased in the last year. I asked him what his power supply wattage was and it turns out he was running a amd x2 4800+ and a 8800gt system on only 300w. So i'd assume the psu is the culprit. Is it not uncommon for inadequate power supplies to make video cards or other components fail like his did? Also i don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but he mentioned his heatsink fan dislodged from its sockets for a period of time. His cpu is fine though and suffered no damage. I'd like to make sure he gets this fixed because we spend a lot of time playing online games together. Do you think he'll need a new graphics card and psu? Hopefully the gfx card warranty is still valid if this is the case.

It's skipping, i recently changed the the blue and pink ink cartridges, and instead of it going through the process of cleaning the print heads like it usually does after you replace the ink. It just said press ok, however when i went to print something it says cleaning printer heads, i was impatient and turned it off. Blue Lines Vertically On Screen
Im having a problem where my screen will just freeze, i get tons of blue lines going vertically throughout my screen and my background goes into a purple fuzz color, sorry cant be more specific as i don't know whats going on. I already reinstalled my gpu drivers twice to no avail. Only way to get it functioning again is to reboot, happens every couple of hours.

Weird Lines At Bottom Of Monitor
I just now encountered a problem. There were lines drawing across the bottom of the monitor, making the screen look shaky, they were hard to notice but made the screen shake, and it looked like the monitor was messed. It seems to have stopped now. After i reduced my oc's on my vid card ram, but im not sure that was what was doing it. Anyways, i was just wondering if anyone else had noticed anything like this?

When i open a new window, for example an aim window or notepad, parts of the program will display fine, without any lines, and other parts will continue the line pattern on the screen. Red Vertical Lines On Monitor
How can i find out whats wrong with my dell monitor? My dell 17' inch flat screen monitor has red vertical lines in the middle of my screen. I'm wondering if its a bad cable connection problem. After i boot-up the system up its not there, but within a few minutes the red lines appear. I've tried it with my other systems and the same thing happens. I purchases the monitor directly from dell in 2006w my dell dimension e310 system.could it be that the monitor is wore out, or could it be just a bad cable connection? The cable i have attached to the monitor came with the monitor. If i purchase another one of the same kind would that clear out the red lines on the monitor? Need answer asap before i throw this monitor away & purchase another one those red lines are driving me nuts!

5870 Problems, Dashed / Lines On Screen
I got an xfx 5870 recently and am getting some weird dashes on screen in various game menus and ui's ofpdr, dragon age. Arma2 is the only game where it has happened in the world of the game. - Hdmi sound not installed
- Win7 up to date
- Checked power cable
Anyone have any ideas? I still have about 15 days to rma to newegg.

I got an xfx 5870 recently and am getting some weird dashes on screen in various game menus and ui's ofpdr, dragon age. Arma2 is the only game where it has happened in the world of the game. Some things i've tried. - Four drivers 9. 11, 9. 12 beta 5, 9. 12, and 9. 12 hotfix
- Downclocked some
- Vsync onoff
- Hdmi sound not installed
- Win7 up to date
- Checked power cable
Anyone have any ideas? I still have about 15 days to rma to newegg.

Hp Photosmart C6180 Scanning Leaves Lines
My hp photosmart c6180 is not scanning very well. It leaves lines down the scan. How can this be fixed? When doing any scan, long white lines go through the whole picture that is being scanned. It happens in every picture and is becoming very annoying as i have only had the printer a few years and have not scanned a lot. The scanner bed appears to be free from debris, so i am not sure what else to do.

Hp Deskjet 5550 Printer Pauses Between Lines
My hp 5550 printer works it just pauses between lines. How can i speed it up? I have checked the printer cables on another computer and they work fine. I have plenty of memory left so that is not a concern either. Did i somehow change a setting without know? It worked fine 2 days ago. The only thing i have done different is download a program (skype) what else can i do?

Screen Display Is Odd - Vertical Dotted Lines
When i start up my pc the display is odd like a chess board. Sometimes vertical dotted line's show up. This continues until i reach the login screen for windows. When i reach the login screen for windows all seems ok.initially my hard disk wasn't being detected. I removed the ide cables and than reconnected them did the same with ram also re-inserted my pci slot display card. Now my hard disk is being detected but the initial startup display is as i have described above.

Flashing / Discolored Lines In Sli Full Screen
Whenever i run a game with sli enabled i get discolored horizontal lines in videos and game screens, they glow really bright. I attempted to take a screen shot however the screen shot does not show the line and discoloration at all. Here is the kicker. This i have only tested with wow, but when i put the game into windowed mode whether maximized or not, this does not happen at all. I have searched and searched and seen this error in other places but no one gave a straight answer on how to fix it. So any ideas you have would be great. Newest possible drivers installed and driver cleaner pro was run on it before re-installation of drivers

Scan Lines On Startup - Windows 7 Wont Boot
I have an nvidia 8800gts video card (not currently as its not working. ) And when i have the evga plugged in, i get video, but i get horrid vertical scanlines where it just looks like the screen is misplaced. When the windows seven logo loads up and it goes to the next screen, it remains black and eventually goes to bsod. I have tried to update the drivers for my 8800gts to no avail. Now. I am currently using my nvidia 8500 gt, but the evga port doesn't work. I get no signal. I have tried using another evga adapter but i still get the same result. As of now im using the regular vga port on my 8500 gt. Have all my adapters gone to crap? Or is there something more going on here. ?

White Lines On Black Display When Connecting Laptop To Tv
I tried connecting my hp pavilion dv6114tx to my tv using a cable (7 pin s-video on one side and rca(yellow for video, red and white for audio), s-video pin on the laptop and yellow rca cable into video input of the tv. I have a nvidia geforce go 7400 256mb graphics card (video bios version =5. 72. 22. 41. Ad). Tried everything including clone, dualview, extending my desktop etc. And see some white lines on a black display on the tv, but could not setup the laptop display onto tv. Moreover now i can't login to normal mode but only vga mode (not even safe mode). Sometimes when im on normal windows boot mode and after the xp logo and startup in progress i see the blue wallpaper with hp logo, and when i quickly press fn+f4 i get the login page, but normally i don't get the login page and fn+f4 only works sometimes, so i have no other option but only to use the vga mode. So help me on the following issues:
1. Log in the normal mode

Logitech Lx700 Keyboard Swaps Lines When Type Fast
When i type too fast, the system detects someone pressing the "enter" key, so it swaps lines

Random Bsod And Red Lines In Mass Effect 2 - 8800gt
Ok so i have had this 8800gt for a while now and had to send it in once to xfx before for random bsods. The problem wasnt as bad when it got back but it was still kinda there. I would get bsods very randomly and sometimes not for weeks. So i just recently got mass effect 2 and loaded it up and played it and it worked fine for a little while (i had a extra stick of ram in there i stole from my wifes comp, but it was causing a lot of bsods so i took it out since i think its bad) and then out of the blue it showed a bunch of red lines on the screen and then the computer shuts off the video and needs to be restarted. So i was wondering if this is a temp issue or what. So i got furmark and have been running it on the extreme gpu burn in or whatever mode its called. My max temps in it are 65 and i havent seen anything higher than that. I have ran memtest for my memory all day before and it never has a problem. Here are my full specs:
Intel e6550
Xfx 8800gt alpha dog
2gb ocz gold ddr2 800
Intel dg33bu motherboard
Antec earthwatts 500w
So i guess my question is, should i just send my card in to xfx for them to take a look at it? My card has a arctic cooler on it with the fans and some custom ram sinks my friend sent me. Here is the link to the ram sinks here not sure how good they are but he owns the site so i will take his word they are good.
