Hp Printer Prints Test Page Automatically After Each Print Job

I have hp5850 deskjet printer that worked without any problems till i recently changed the black cartridge. It prints without any prompts a "test page" with heavy bars each time after a normal file is printed.could some one please help fix this annoying and paper/ ink wasting phenomenon? I checked the various tabs under "print properties" for any unusual settings. Didn't notice any unusual settings.

Hp psc 1510 printer always prints the test page before printing required document. How to prevent this?
Answer:- go in the toolbox and uncheck where it says to print a test page on startup. I believe that is in the service menu.

If your printer is an all-in-one or multi-function printer that has a scanner, you probably need to take that test print and scan it immediately after it prints out. This is a common way for printers to perform and finalize a printhead alignment needed for the best print quality. This is common and needs to be done when the printer is new or printhead cartridges are replaced. Otherwise there is probably an option in the printer's control panel menu that allows you to turn off initializing test prints. What is causing impressions in the paper from my hp 2600n printer? There are weird impressions all down the right side of every page it prints. The impressions are the same on every sheet. How can i fix this?
Answer:- if they're actual impressions into the paper, and not simply toner marks, then most likely it's being caused by the fuser assembly. But, if there are no actual indentations in the paper and it's only toner marks, then it could be one of the toner cartridges causing the problem or it could also be the fuser assembly. If it's one specific color, besides black, then it's a toner cartridge, but if black it could be the black toner cartridge or fuser. To fix it, you would need to replace the problem component.

I have a dell 720 printer and am using a gigaware cable to connect to my toshiba laptop. Everything seems connected correctly, as the power is on and the printer will try to print. However, the page that is ejected is blank with a few small lines. I have tried to clean off the ink cartridges, and when i print, it says they are full. How do i configure the hp laserjet pro p1100 to print directly to the printer instead of spooling? I shared the printer on the network using a windows xp desktop computer. I go to printer properties, and in the advanced tab, i click "print directly to printer" but when i click apply, it says operation could not be completed. And when i try printing using the macbook, it says printing 100%, when i check the status on the pc, it says spooling. So i tried pausing the print job on the mac and when i did, it suddenly printed the print job. How do i fix this glitch.

How do i get my hp printer to stop printing test pages? I have a mac and installed snow leopard. About a month later i changed the ink in my hp c3180 all-in-one printer. Now every time i turn it on, it prints a test page (big waste of ink). When i put the test page in the scanner to "align" it (thats what apparently stops the needless printing of test pages), it wont scan. I click scan and the light just blinks. I hooked it up to my mac and opened the app that came with hp, called scan pro, and that says 'no scanner detected'. The only conclusion i can come up with is that switching to snow leopard ruined my ability to scan and theres no hp driver in snow leopard? I scanned stuff just fine before i had snow leopard.
