Ps/2 Logitech Elite Keyboard Le - Key Respond Time Problem
Replies: 1 | Post Date: 20-12-2007, 10:47 AM | User: Synteur | Forums: hardwareforums.comI recently purchased a (rather cheap) ps/2 to usb converter, for use with my new laptop, which has no ps/2 ports. This adapter has two female connectors, for a ps/2 keyboard and mouse - i only use the keyboard portion, my preferred mouse is usb. It works great - except for this unusual (yet rather problematic) issue, when alternating keys being held down. If i hold one key down, then quickly hold another down and release the first - it will register that second key press for a split second, then pause for an undesirably long amount of time, and then register the keypress as i hold it down. Not particularly easy to explain. It's not so much an issue in everyday typing, but while gaming, it is quite irritating. For example, if i hold down the s key, and quickly press the d key, release the s key while continuing to hold d there is an noticeable delay for d to respond as being 'held down. '
I'm not quite sure what this could attribute to - i assume it's the adapter itself being rather cheap and poorly produced, but i hope there is something that can be done. The keyboard itself is fine when used on any other computer, there is no such delay - nor is there one on the laptop's standard keyboard. I'm running windows vista home premum, and the keyboard is a ps/2 logitech elite keyboard le (wired).

Logitech Media Keyboard Elite Problem
I own a logitech 'media keyboard elite' and im running vista home prem x64 and it likes to sub characters in for certain keys sometimes. The weird thing is it will do it for one program and not another when it does screw up and it takes completely shutting down the program and restarting it to correct the problem. For instance in wow right now when i type / i get instead though its fine in ie when typing this post and wow is still running in the background. What is going on and how do i fix it and prevent it from happening again besides beating the board to a pulp and getting a new one ?

4 Port Kvm That Works With Logitech Mx500 Elite Keyboard
I'm having a tough time getting a straight answer on this one anywhere on the 'net, somebody recommend me a 4-port kvm (preferrably ps/2, since it may connect to an old server) that will work with these damn logitech products and their extra buttons! It would be nice if it had audio ports, but they are not a necessity. What *is* a necessity is that this thing doesn't take me out a couple hundred bucks, and the video quality is decent enough to run a dell 2005fpw on vga. Of course, easy switching would be nice as well, but my number one criteria is that it works flawlessly with my logitech products and all their extra buttons, and it doesn't often lockup, forcing me to reboot everything. Can anyone help me out, here?

Keyboard Does Not Respond After Computer Crashed
My computer crashed yesterday, now when i turn it on, i cannot get the keyboard to respond. First off, the computer is not fully booting, i just get stuck on the factory, hp-screen. Therefore, i cannot enter the bios or the actual boot screen to see what is happening. I tried to boot from my windows cd, but cannot 'press any key' to do so. Anyways, i tried clearing the cmos on the motherboard, and also removing the battery; neither worked. I also tired numerous other keyboards, usb key boards, swapping ports, nothing.

When i boot the lights on the keyboard flash, but once the computer starts booting, the keyboard does not respond. It often just gets cut of in the windows as well. Pc Freeze And Doesn't Respond To Keyboard Or Mouse
I have a problem with a p4 1. 7ghz pc. When win xp starts after about 5 mins the computer freezes. It does not respond to either keyboard or mouse. I suspected that it had some kind of virus and it was about time this system needed a format and a re installation of xp. Booting from the xp cd and starting setup the same thing happens after 5mins. It freezes again. Im suspecting its an hdd problem. There are no beeps during the post either. Any suggestions?

About a month ago my computer started acting very strangly, not giving me an signal from my mouse or keyboard and after a couple of restarts wouldn't give me any display or post when i started it up. Alt Gr Key On Keyboard
Just got a dell studio xps, but it has no alt gr key, the key to the right of the keyboard is a regular alt key. Alt gr is quite important for me, as i used it on my old laptop to type special romanian characters with it. Any idea how i can "convince" the right alt key to act as an alt-gr?

Keyboard With Proper Enter Key
I've read through the previous thread, but i'm not interested in keyboards that lack a 'proper' enter key (why do i see some pics with and without full size key anyway?). It would be nice not essential for usb ports. Illumination that is adjustable is preferable. I also have my eye on the saitek eclipse 3, but obviously it seems that the enter key is half size. Any ideas or am i completely wrong about the enter key size issue?

I have a new toshiba a20 laptop, and just the other night the key board started to play up, when i hit a key a random letter will appear. For instance h = 6h l = 4l etc

Packard Bell Wireless Keyboard Keeps Pressing The Asterisk Key
I have a packard bell wireless keyboard, but i think there is somthing wrong with it, it keeps pressing the asterisk key all by it's self (************ like that). I've take the keys off and cleaned it, i've restarted the computer, taking out the batteries but nothing works. I'm posting on behalf of a guy i know who recently formatted his comp and done a fresh install of windows. He got everything working fine eventually but the keyboard is being strange. He has a saitek gamers keyboard, and when he presses keys random stuff comes up, like esc key brings up start menu in windows. There arn't any drivers for it i can find. But i dont think it's the keyboard because he has tried other keybaords and same thing is happening.

Keyboard Keys Press At Same Time Limitations
I've played games on cheap keyboards where i can only press so many keys at the same time, etc: go forward, duck, walk, strafe, jump etc. On a cheap keyboard i can only walk forward & strafe & duck, so if i try to jump, i can't because i'm pressing too many keys at the same time. Is there a program that will light up the buttons (like winxp joystick calibration) so i can see how many buttons i can hit at the same time? Or what keyboards will allow me to press more buttons?

I know this sounds crazy, but im needing to run 2 computers with 1 keyboard and 1 mouse so that i can enter command codes to both sytems at the same time. Logitech G11 Keyboard Turns Off Then On
I've had my new logitech g11 keyboard for 4 days now. So far i have noticed this problem twice at random. What basically happens is i'm playing wow, and all of the sudden the leds turn off and i can't move, then come back on and i can. It's a total of about 5 seconds when this happens. I mainly suspect the usb not drawing enough power, but i'm not sure. The second time it happened was today, and as far as usb devices i have 4 plugged in total. My webcam, printer, keyboard and mouse. I also had the drivers off the cd installed until about 20 minutes ago (after the problem) i updated them from 1. 0. 3 to 3. 0. 1, not sure if that could be the reason why it was turning off or not. Any ideas?

I try to plug my 128mb memory stick into one of the logitech g15 keyboard usb ports, i get a message on the screen down near the taskbar saying that the usb hub power has been exceeded, i know its a keyboard, but, a little memory stick exceeding the power?
The ports on it are for things like gaming headsets, controllers etc, and its telling me the power is been exceeded with a tiny little memory stick :s, any ideas why this is happening, if it could be a windows problem?

Logitech S520 Keyboard Loses Keystrokes
I have a cordless logitech s520. It's been used continuously for about 10 months now. The keyboard loses keystrokes or likes to switch keys on me. The mouse has completely lost the middle button and is sometimes non-responsive. I've replaced batteries with no luck, and moved the receiver closer. What would be a good upgrade from this, one that will last for more than a year?

Usb Powered Hub For Logitech Keyboard
Can anyone suggest me a good powered usb hub? I think i got low power to mine and i have about 5 devices i use at once and my logitech keyboard takes alot of power (lights, macros, led monitor). Usb 2 and a lot of power.

Logitech G15 Keyboard Extra Keys Not Working
Got this new keyboard for gaming its great. Has like 50 something keys that i can bind to actions in game. Only problem is the extra keys are not working. I can't bind them to actions within the game. Im fairly sure its because i'm running vista, anyone else have experience with this keyboard and run into the same problem?

Logitech Illuminated Wireless Keyboard Missing Keystrokes
I know this is a common issue with wireless keyboards, but i'm wondering if anyone has had any issues with missing keystrokes on wired keyboards. The reason i ask is that i just got the new logitech "illuminated keyboard" and whenever i quickly type 4-letter words such as "can't, " "don't, " "won't, " "done, " etc, the keyboard (in all instances) doesn't register the last letter in the sequence. I've now tested 4 of these keyboards and have replicated the issue with each of them. I'm wondering if anyone has ever had these types of issues when switching to a new keyboard? Or, if maybe this particular keyboard has some type of design flaw that only affects people who type words at a certain speed.

Logitech Mx700 Keyboard Work On Vista 64 Bit ?
Will my logitech mx700 keyboard and mouse work on vista 64bit? I currently have a logitech mx700 cordless desktop (keyboard and mouse). I will be upgrading my system in the next few days which will include vista 64bit. I was wondering if anybody has the mx700 and does it work on vista? I can't find any drivers on the logitech site.
