Why does my router constantly disconnect at night? I have a 2wire router and my internet provider is at&t. It rarely happens during the day, but at night the light marked internet would turn red, knocking me of the internet. It flashes red for a minute then the light goes off, only to return green moments later. It'll keep turning off and on all night, and it gets really frustrating.

Modem Internet Light Turns Red

Why does my internet disconnect all of a sudden? This happens about once to two times a day the green light on my modem (the internet light) turns red without blinking, and i have to unplug the power cable and then plug it back again. This has never happened before, well it did but not everyday. I recently went wireless (like one month ago) because i bought an ipod, but this began happening about two weeks ago. Also my modem is in an enclosed area. What can i do?

Lg Television Flashing Red Light After Shutting Down

Lg 32cm full high definition television. Flashing red light after shutting down wont power back up? I have only bought a lg full high definition tv. Its only been in operation for around 3 hours and it suddenly turned off and wont start back up. Every time i turn it back on it powers up for about 10 seconds then turns off again. The monitor light keeps flashing red after its shut down.

Router Disconnect When Get Phone Call

Why does my router disconnect when i get a phone call? I recently purchased a new cable modem and netgear router. Before this i had a different cable modem and a different netgear router. With the old ones, the phone could ring and the internet would be fine. Now, whenever the phone rings, the connection dies. I dont think it is the wireless signal being interfered with because i lose get disconnected even if i do not answer the phone. We have a coax splitter that splits the cable like and then one goes to a modem for the phone and the other goes to the new modem for the internet, which is then connected to the router. Why i am having this issue?

Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop Power Light Wont Turn On

My dell inspiron 1545 laptop power light won't turn on however the laptop is on and working fine. ? My laptop purchased a little more than a month ago was working great until today. The power indicator has stopped working and can't help but think something must be wrong because it just shut off and never came back on. Pc Constantly Crashing

All right, this has been a problem for so long. My pc is known to suddenly crash in many times. The timing is usually random, so i can never predict it. So it's either suddenly the screen turning black and i can't even do anything about it, or the screen freezes. But when my bro took it away to his friend's house, he said even though he turned it on for 24 hours nonstop, it doesn't crash. What could be the problem?

1. There are some problems in the electric source?
2. One of my hardware components is malfunctioning?
3. My computer is infected with virus/malware/spyware, etc?
4. Heat problems?

Computer Constantly Restarting

My dad got me a new computer a few months ago. I hadn't had any problems with it really, until about two months ago. I shut down the computer and left the room, but when i walked back in the computer was still running. So i shut down again, but my mum later told me i'd left the computer on. Ever since the computer refuses to shut down - it simply restarts. I have to turn it off at the mains. Then today, i wanted to watch a dvd i got for christmas. I turned the computer on, and for some reason got the screen that requests you to select which mode to start windows in (start windows normally, safe mode etc. ) I can select any one of the five options that i am given and the computer begins to load - however, i am then shown the 'no input signal' screen and the whole system restarts. The computer has restarted about 30 times so far. I have tried switching off at the mains to no avail.

Network Internet Goes Constantly On And Off

I have verizon dsl in my house with the highest speed setting. Its very terrible because my internet goes constantly on and off. I called verizon and they said that im two far away from their service things which causes me to connect and disconnect. I have a feeling its my modem though. Right now i have a westell 6100 modem. Is there a better modem i could buy that will work with my dsl?

I also have a linksys wrt54gs router. I there a better g router that can give me a better range ?

Keyboard Constantly Switches Off

My keyboard constantly switches off during loading. Until a main os is loaded it won't respond once it has gone beyond the whole del to enter the setup area. This means that i can't choose which os is loaded or abort disk checking when i load windows. I have a microsoft natural ergonomic keyboard 4000 v1. 0. Sometimes the lights stay on, but it is unresponsive.

Computer Constantly Restarting, Reboot And Power Back Up

My friend has a custom built computer with asus motherboard, and a intel celeron 2. 33ghz processor. It continues to reboot and power back up. I checked the power supply and it is ok, and tried unplugging power to all components, and then plug them back in one at a time. It appeared to be the dvd/cd rom, as that corrected the problem for a day when i left the power to that unplugged, but now this morning it is doing it again. I'm not sure where to look now. Any suggestions?

Usb Keyboard / Mouse Losing Connection Constantly

I have keyboard/mouse, external hd, printer and i have the hub connected to ac power adapter also. Problem is the keyboard and mouse keeps cutting out constantly for like a quick second then it comes back on, the printer and external hd seem to work fine. The keyboard and mouse do not do this when directly plugged into separate ports on my laptop (dell 6400). This is actually the 2nd usb hub i have tried, the first one did this same thing and i thought it was faulty so i tried a different one, but i'm having the same problem. I have tried with just the keyboard/mouse plugged into the hub, but it's still losing connection. Any ideas?

Will Constantly Connecting / Disconnecting Damaged Usb Cables ?

I've been told that after some time usb cables stop function. A friend of mine had a usb cable extension from his tower to his table to easily attach/remove his usb flash drive. After 6 months or so, the cable stopped working. Does this happen with all usb cables?

I'm worried about the longevity of my modem because of this. Would it be a good idea to have the modem disconnected when not using it, or could the constant connecting/disconnecting harm the usb connector?

Constant Internet Disconnect

Well, lately i've noticed some dc's at first i was just playing world of warcraft, and i got a dc (which seriously hardly ever happens to me. It would be that someone pulled the plug of the router out or something). So i thought, meh could be something else. But past 4 days i've noticed constant dc's in 2 games that i play: wow and battlefield: bad company 2. So i contacted my provider and they couldn't really help me. They just told me basic amateur stuff such as: pull the plug out and back in. But, my sister downloads from limewire, she has for a long time, i always told her not to. But still she does. So i was thinking, maybe someone hacked our network because of limewire. Well, i was also playing battlefield today, for a few hours and the dc's usually happen every 25-50 minutes. So as soon as my sister came back home from work, she came home and rest, and just not too long after that, boom! Another dc while i didn't have any before she came home. Thing is, she also owns a blackberry, which i doubt it could be cos i don't think u can download things with malware from that thing. But maybe it could still be so. And i just went to my router-webpage and went to the lan- section. And i noticed all the way down of the page it has a little section with: 'dynamic dhcp client list', under that i get 'hardware address assigned ip hostname ' and i have one with the ip addres and all the stuff that is supposed to go along with it (afraid to tell you guys what it is though). And it says hostname computer. So i think that's just my computer or something, but under that i see another ip address and the whole line thing and the hostname is: your-0ifga41fpw , could that be something bad? Because i don't know if it belongs to me or whatever it is. I also resetted my modem + router. Didn't work. I also wanted to block limewire through my router-webpage but i don't know how to, could you please explain it to me! And oh yes! When i get disconnected its not like i have to wait a while for my internet to get back up again, it's just an instant dc but i can log back in directly after that. So all in all, my problem is: lately i've been getting constant dc's which are extremely rare for me to get. And i'm not sure but i think it could be my sisters limewire.

Internet Connect Then Disconnect

When i try to connect to the internet it connect then disconnect then reconnect and so on. Can anybody tell how to resolve this?

Answer:- i am assuming that you are using wifi and a router. This might be interference from a cordless phone or a neighbor who has a router using the same wifi channel. There are 11 channels to choose from in the router. Go in there and change the channel. Your user guide for your make and model will have the instructions for this. If you don't have a user guide download it from the maker's website. I you are not using wifi, then i must say the problem is either with your modem or the internet provider is having trouble. In both cases you need to talk with the provider.

Modem Disconnect Periodically

Why does my modem disconnect periodically? I am using a motorola modem and a belkin router. For as long as i remember, it has worked perfectly fine except for the fact that about every hour or two, the internet connection just cuts off somehow, and after about two minutes it will work just fine again. After the disconnection it will continue to run normally, until another hour or two later, when it will again disconnect and reconnect.

Safely Disconnect Hardware

For every hardware i connect to the usb port of the computer, i always make sure to safely disconnect it first before i unplug it from the computer. I make sure to wait till the icon disappears from the computer before i disconnect. However, even when i do disconnect from the computer, the screen of the hardware itself (my psp, mp3 players, pmp, etc) continues saying usb connected, even when i have safely disconnected it (note: it is still plugged into the computer but technically disconnected. Hope you get what i mean. ) The only thing that doesn't do this is my ipod nano 3rd gen, which i always use the itunes program itself to disconnect, and the little loading bar appears telling me when it is safe for me to physically disconnect it. Can anyone tell me the reason as to why the message never shows up on my hardwares? This hasn't really been a problem for me, but i always wondered why.

Keyboard Caps Lock Key Is Constantly 'turned On' On Mac Os

I have a wireless keyboard & mouse on my mac, and when i try to log in, nothing types even though the keyboard is switched on. The volume controls work, but the caps lock key is constantly turned on. I've take the keys off and cleaned it, i've restarted the computer, taking out the batteries but nothing works. Also, the mouse is set to 'left click' as in whenever i click on anything it acts like i'm holding down the ctrl button to make it 'left click'. I have no idea whats wrong with the mouse or keyboard. Can anyone help at all? Or has anyone ever had this problem?

Internet Connection Disconnect When Phone Rings

Why does my broadband internet connection disconnect from the internet each time my phone rings? My dsl internet disconnects every time i receive a call and reconnects shortly after the call is finished. I read that i should try adjusting the ghz on my router or try changing the channel to 1, 6, or 11. Where can i do this at. And will changing these settings affect the router's performance when it is connected and working. Also i have checked that all my phones in my house have a filter.

Cannot Use Safely Remove Hardware To Disconnect External Hdd

When disconnecting usb flash drives, i for one never use the safely remove hardware button, and never had any problems as a result of this habit, probably because i always leave write caching disabled, as it is by default - according to the windows help, this means you can disconnect a drive without going through safely remove hardware. Now, i have recently bought an external hard-drive (a samsung story station), which i use on and off, several times per day. Since an electro-mechanical hard-drive is surely more fragile than a solid-state usb flash drive, and also because this hdd cost me quite a lot, i though it wouldn't hurt to develop the good practice of always using safely remove hardware before turning its power off. The problem is, most of the time this process is not straightforward, and produces the error message "the device 'generic volume' cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it". This happens at a time when the hdd is (at least to my knowledge) no longer in use, i.e. I've copied a few files to/from it, and the transfer has stopped for a few good minutes before i press the safely remove hardware button. I know there may be many reasons why windows sees the hard-drive as still being in use, but my question to all you hardware-aware techniques is: how harmful is it for the hard-drive if i just turn the power off after i've finished using it (no ongoing transfers, of course) without using safely remove hardware? Again, this would be at a time when windows is under the impression that the hdd is still being used, even though - mind you - the hdd's led is not blinking, indicating that there is in fact no activity. Red Screen - Gpu Defective ?

Lately when i play c. O. D mw2 after while i get red screen with blue-greenish dots and nothing works then. I cant go back desktop with crtl + alt + esc, to check what could possible be wrong. I have to force shutdown the whole pc and restart to get back to normal. Cant play the game more than 10-15 min before this happens. Is something wrong with my video card maybe? Its nvidia xfx 260 gtx. Is there a software to check gpu health ?

Red Vertical Lines On Monitor

How can i find out whats wrong with my dell monitor? My dell 17' inch flat screen monitor has red vertical lines in the middle of my screen. I'm wondering if its a bad cable connection problem. After i boot-up the system up its not there, but within a few minutes the red lines appear. I've tried it with my other systems and the same thing happens. I purchases the monitor directly from dell in 2006w my dell dimension e310 system.could it be that the monitor is wore out, or could it be just a bad cable connection? The cable i have attached to the monitor came with the monitor. If i purchase another one of the same kind would that clear out the red lines on the monitor? Need answer asap before i throw this monitor away & purchase another one those red lines are driving me nuts!

Also which monitor would you recommend for a quad system windows 7?

On Case Battery Shape Is Blinking As Red

I bought yesterday another motherboard p4s800 and it is okey. It works. By the way i just installed new motherboard instead of old one. On case battery shape under reset button is blinking as red. Can it be older motherboard's battery empty or related?Wyh my new motherboard is blinking red buttery shape?

Do you have any idea? Can it be cmos battery charge? It is still blinking as red.
