Philips 230e1hsb Monitor - How To Mount On Wall ?

This monitor is awesome and its at full 1080p, and its fairly cheap less than 250$ cad. Im just curious how to mount this on wall? I want this mounted above my feet and about 4 ft high so i can play while lying on bed, and btw it may not be able to be mounted but im just asking if its possible, and how.

Does Philips Brilliance Monitor Support Hdcp ?
I have a philips brilliance 190cw9 monitor. There is "brilliance 190cw" written at the left top corner of my monitor, so im sure its brilliance series. But there is only 1 vga and 1 usb output. There isn't any hdmi or dvi output. So i cant be sure if it supports hdcp. I was wondering if there is any way to check it with a software or something.

Usb Drive Won't Mount On Either Pc Or Mac After System Crash
I had my usb drive (40 gb) connected to my pc and i was copying a movie off it to my local drive. Half way through my system crashes and i'm forced to do the three-finger-salute and end task everything before restarting my computer. Now my usb drive won't mount on either pc or mac - i've tried 4 differend computers.

Building A Computer Into A Wall
The 'wall' next to my desk is actually used for some pipes, and i was thinking "why not put a computer in there?". I attached a drawing of the room to this post, i have access via a removable panel marked red in the drawing; the walls that are transparent in the drawing lead to my room. I want to mount the cd-rom, the power switch and usb ports inside the left wall (just above the 'red' panel). The pipes are used for the ventilation of the shower downstairs and an air conditioner in the next room. The later could possibly get hot (not sure how hot, it's not a good idea to test this out in the middle of the winter ). The machine will not be high end, an athlon 64 and a cheap video card. The obvious question is, how will i be able to keep this thing cool? I don't want to spend a lot of money on water cooling and if i have to cut 20 holes i might as well put the computer in my room. Perhaps the pipes could be used for cooling, since they lead outside. Also, i am already putting a lot of stuff outside the case, do i really need one? I could just screw the motherboard and hard drive to a piece of wood, or can't i?

Home Networking Wall Jack Connect To The Router Directly
I have a computer in one room, and the router is located in that room as well. The computer is plugged to the router with a network cable directly. Now, i have another computer in another room, and until now, i have been using a usb wireless adaptor to connect to the router. However, for various reasons i want to connect that computer to the router with a network cable and the nic. (One of them being that when my laptop in the same room is connected to the router wirelessly, it seems that they interfere with each other and i lose connection quite frequently). The problem is that i really can't go around the house with a network cable to connect the computer to the router directly, so i was wondering if it was possible at all to just connect the network cable to the nic, and on the other end connect it to the wall jack in that room to connect to the router directly?
Is this something that is possible at all or is it just not possible?
The router is connected to the only wall jack in the room it is located in, but i have a free wall jack here in this room.

I have a philips sic4750/27 web cam. I want to get it installed on ubuntu linux but i can not get the rotten thing to cooperate. It does work on small programs such as skype under a "generic camera" banner, but it wont work if i try a web cam site like blogtv, it tells me "this application needs a web cam. " I am trying to see if i can find a driver for linux but i am coming up pretty short. Any ideas?

My cousin just got a new dell inspiron 6400 and her optical drive is not working. The optical drive is philips scb5265 ive checked the drivers and updated them to the newest ones and while browsing google i found that the problem is quite popular with other dell laptop owners, they describe it as ghosting, the optical drive will scan for a cd/dvd but it wont be able to find one what do you think the problem is?

How to connect philips dvd to samsung plasma tv? I just bought a samsung hd plasma tv. I already had a philips dvd player that i want to connect to the tv. The dvd player has a red, white & yellow cords. But when i try & plug them into the back of my samsung plasma it keep saying " no signal ". Do i connect the cords to the side of the tv which has av in video & audio l & r or do i connect the cords to the actual back of the tv with all "component in " plugs ? Philips gogear mp3 won't connect properly, and computer tells me the drive is empty when it's not. ? I own a philips gogear mp3, and it was working completely fine up until a couple of days ago. When i plug it in to charge, it flashes the messages 'ok to disconnect' and 'do not disconnect' rapidly one after another (i.e. It keeps disconnecting and connecting). On Pc Boot Up Monitor Never Comes On
Every time i boot my comp, the monitor never comes on, so i have to shutdown and boot it again and it works, however, in the last few days it wont come on at all, all the monitor will say is power saving mode. Also i just noticed that the lights and fan on the graphics card arent coming on.could this be a power issue? The psu is 600w.could the pcie slot be damaged?

Monitor Turns Itself Off
I connect using a dvi connectors into my video card. Bassicaly what happens is my left monitor has zero problems its great. My 2nd one seems to turn itself off on it's own. I don't have to jiggle anything to fix this, just turn the monitor back on with the button, but this is getting very annoying. (Especially since the power button isn't easy to press, may not be able to tell by the link, but the button is behind the casing of the monitor, so you can't feel for the button you have to put your finger in the exact right spot on the case and push in. No clue who ever thought this was a good idea, i would have bought a different monitor if i knew about this before hand) i made 3 hypothesis:
1) a cable is loose (not the case, i ensured everything is connected well, and it still happens)
2) the power button is loose, and small vibrations on the desk are triggering it to go off. (Don't think this is the case because my monitor has never turned itself on)
I'm still under the manufacturer warranty, though i'm afraid to send it in because 1- i have to go that time with 1 monitor, which would be impossible for me. And 2- i hate getting refurbished stuff. Espeically when i pay money for something new. I'm trying to figure out what else i might look for that would cause my monitor to turn itself off.

My roommate bought a dell latitude c640, and everything seems ok except for one major thing. The monitor only has 16 colors! And when i went to the control panel and the display option, it gave me the grand option of changing it to 16 colors? I am in the twilight zone, in an episode where the graphics look crappy and i'm being played by a young rob lowe.

No Picture On The Monitor
I have an ibm netvista 6579-pdg with nvidia tnt2 16mb graphics, 256mb ram, 866mhz pentium 3, 30gb hard disk. And when i switch my pc on, just the lights on the actual pc turn on, i get no picture on the monitor which i can confirm does in fact work. It has the two lights (power and processing light) on forever, i left it like this overnight and it was the same when i got up in the morning. The bios does not even initialize, its just a blank screen when i turn the computer on. If you have any ideas to what the problem is then please let me know.

A month ago i put together a new computer, asus a8v delux, amd athlon64 3200+, 1gb kingston ddr400(dual channel), ati radeon x800pro(agp) with a 21" dell p1130. This worked beautifully. It worked beautifully after i packed the whole thing up and went to my parents for two weeks over christmas. It didn't work when i packed it up, and came back to my place. The computer powers up and beeps once. The monitor works on another computer. No other monitor works on this computer. I have: reseated the agp graphics card, reset the system bios. The cpu and ram both feel secure, though i have not removed and reseated them yet. The sata harddrive seems fine. I don't know what else to do, and i'm very tired, so i hope one of you has an answer.

No Signal On Monitor
My monitor says no signal when i turn on my brand new comp. The reason i made a new one was my old one outa noware said no signal now im useing a a8v deluxe mobo *brand new* a radeon 9550 *brand new* 1 90 gig seatgate 2 60 gig maxtors and 1 20 gig maxtor *older* kingwin mutant x case and stock power sulply with 420 watts power. A 512 pc3200 ram stick brand new. I have tryed everything i took it outa the case put it on a phone book and pluged in only the board and stuff needed to pwer up. I checked the monitor works fine on other comps. Vid card works fine on other comps mem and everything else worksfine in my in my parents comps but i have no idea whats wrong ive tryed evrything i can think of. Resetting the cmos. Tryed diferent vid cars still nothing tryed dif monitors still nothin i just spent over 300 dollors to fix this stupid problem and nothing i try is working.

My monitor says no signal when i turn on my brand new comp. The reason i made a new one was my old one outa noware said no signal now im useing a a8v deluxe mobo *brand new* a radeon 9550 *brand new* 1 90 gig seatgate 2 60 gig maxtors and 1 20 gig maxtor *older* kingwin mutant x case and stock power sulply with 420 watts power. A 512 pc3200 ram stick brand new. I have tryed everything i took it outa the case put it on a phone book and pluged in only the board and stuff needed to pwer up. I checked the monitor works fine on other comps. Vid card works fine on other comps mem and everything else worksfine in my in my parents comps but i have no idea whats wrong ive tryed evrything i can think of. Resetting the cmos. Tryed diferent vid cars still nothing tryed dif monitors still nothin i just spent over 300 dollors to fix this stupid problem and nothing i try is working.

Problem With Monitor
I got a samsung syncmaster 551v monitor, seems an old model, nothing is bad with it except for a very annoying, intermitent, high pitch sound, do you know how can i stop that? Or what may be causing it?

Monitor Repair
I have a 21" crt that is starting to kick the bucket. I was wondering if it's even worth repairing. It is a great monitor and would hate to have to throw it out. It seems that after 20 or so minutes (after it warms up) that the picture starts to bend in, then break, then come back, a little after that it will just go black. I turn it off for a few minutes the picture comes back. But then it will break again? So i'm wondering if there is any thing i can do to possible bring it back to life. I've already bought a new monitor 20" lcd flat panel. But would love to be able to set these up as dual monitors?

Monitor Pick Up
So far i did all my stuff on my laptop until its mother board splited up (toshiba satellite 1805 s203). And now i'm going to invest desctop. The only question i got is what kinda monitor to use?
Lcd or crt?
I've heard that new lcd generation is quite good for graphics, isn't it? Or should i buy crt after all? So could you explain which type is the best? Also could you point the manufacturer and model name of it please?

Green Monitor
I have this vivitron monitor that has been giving me problems for years. About 4 years ago it started to flicker every now and then. Eventually the flickering got so bad it would simply turn off the picture. This all was accompanied by a lot of static discharge sound from within the monitor. One day i opened it up, cleaned off all the dust, and it seemed to work ok for awhile. Within the past year, i am still able to stop the flickering by cleaning, but now the screen has also started to turn green. At first i could fix it by giving the monitor a heavy tap, and it would revert to normal colors. Eventually that was not enough though. Now i have to open it up and tap on the curcuit board at the back of the tube. This is only a temporary solution as it reverts to green hue screen sometimes when i turn it off then back on, sometimes just out of nowhere. Is there anythinig i can do to fix this? I am an electrical engineer so i am not afraid to work on it, but i am not versed with monitors.
