The lights and stuff work when i plug it in, but i have to have windows run for 7 minutes for the regular keys to start working. Mouse And Keyboard Freeze When Windows Xp Starts Up
Sometimes when windows xp professional starts up on my computer, the mouse will not work properly. It is just frozen at the welcome screen. However, i can still use the keyboard to login. The mouse is a ps/2 mouse. After windows finishes login in and shows the desktop, the mouse is still frozen. Sometimes the mouse will function properly on the welcome screen. However when my computer enters standby mode the mouse and keyboard are both usually frozen when i try to bring the computer out of standby mode and the computer is unresponsive. I think this has also happened after a few minutes of not using the computer while the computer was running.

Keyboard Does Not Respond When Computer Starts Booting
When i boot the lights on the keyboard flash, but once the computer starts booting, the keyboard does not respond. It often just gets cut of in the windows as well. When this happens i just unplug the keyboard and plug it back in. It usually works within few attempts but at times it does not work at all. So i have to restart few times and play around until it does. I tried a different keyboard and everything, but nothing helps.

Pc Starts To Boot And Freezes Before Windows
I turned on the pc and the "intel desktop boards" screen appears. And that is it! Usually that would flash and the next screen would be detecting my ide card and recognizing the hard drives but it doesnt even get there. The screen that it is stuck on shows the processor speed, how much ram, and that the keyboard, mouse, and the usb legacy is enabled. The bottom says hit f2 to run set up and f12 if you want to boot from network. I can not get into the bios. The most i made it do was get it to say "entering setup" by hitting f2 as soon as the page came up. But it never goes anywhere after that. Frozen! Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I am not a computer wiz, just a long time tinkerer. I have built 2 or 3 in my lifetime and have just basic knowledge.

Dvd Drive Works Until Windows Starts
Recently i connected my hd into other pc then i connected it back on my pc but now i'm having a hard time to make my dvd drive work, i never had problems before and it was working fine. This is what happens: when i turn on the pc, the dvd led flashes and everything, i can open and close the tray without problems. The dvd drive is showed in the bios too. But as soon as windows xp starts loading the dvd drive wont work, with this i mean it wont even open the tray. Once windows has started its the same. It looks like the drive is detected because under device manager it shows this: "dvd-rom scsi cdrom device", and my other cd drive is listed too. But when i try to access it, i get a "please insert a disk into drive e:" eventho i already have a disc there. If i try to eject it using windows nothing happens. This is how i have my connections:
(Got primary and secundary ide enabled in bios)
Primary ide: master is my hd
Primary ide: slave is cd-rom drive
Secundary ide: master is dvd drive (the one with problems)
Secundary ide: slave = nothing
Already tried swapping the dvd-drive to primary ide as slave but it happens exactly the same. Im so confused, why would it work before windows starts to load, but wont work after? What do you recommend me to do? Im out of ideas, do you think its the drive jumpers? Or something related to windows? Should i reinstall?

Run Two Computers With Single Mouse / Keyboard At Same Time
I know this sounds crazy, but im needing to run 2 computers with 1 keyboard and 1 mouse so that i can enter command codes to both sytems at the same time. (i.e. Not switching with kvm or using senergy), i know sounds crazy but with the amount of information what i need to do it will save me loads of time. No cut paste or networking hacks either please. I am looking for physical hardware options.

Install / Run Quake 4 Game On Windows 7
How can i get quake 4 to run in windows 7?
Answer:-
Did you install the game in administrator mode?
Method 1:
Id recommend you to uninstall and re-install the game in administrator mode and check if that fixes the issue. To install the game in administrator mode, a. Locate the program icon, right-click click run as administrator. B. When the uac message is displayed game in administrator, do one of the following:
I. If you are logged on as a standard user, or if uac is configured to always require credentials, enter the appropriate administrative credentials, and then click ok. Ii. If you are logged on as an administrator and uac is not configured to always require credentials, click yes to start the application. Proceed with the installation and check if that solves the issue. Also make sure you have the latest updates for the game installed on your computer. Method 2: install the game in a new user account
Create a new user account and check if the issue recurs in the newly created account. If the issue does not persist in the new user account, it could indicate that your old user account is corrupted. Access the link below and follow the steps to repair the corrupt user profile:
Fix a corrupted user profile
If the above methods do not help in fixing the issue, id suggest you get in touch with quake 4 support:

Logitech G11 Keyboard Turns Off Then On
I've had my new logitech g11 keyboard for 4 days now. So far i have noticed this problem twice at random. What basically happens is i'm playing wow, and all of the sudden the leds turn off and i can't move, then come back on and i can. It's a total of about 5 seconds when this happens. I mainly suspect the usb not drawing enough power, but i'm not sure. The second time it happened was today, and as far as usb devices i have 4 plugged in total. My webcam, printer, keyboard and mouse. I also had the drivers off the cd installed until about 20 minutes ago (after the problem) i updated them from 1. 0. 3 to 3. 0. 1, not sure if that could be the reason why it was turning off or not. Any ideas?

Partitioning Hard Drives To Run Windows And Linux
I have a tower with two hard drives. Until now i have been running windows on the first drive and using the second drive as backup. Now i reformatted the backup drive and installed fedora core. The installation was successful but how do i get the computer to boot from that drive?
I'm in the bios and i see where the windows-platform drive is listed as my primary. I scrolled up to this line in the bios and tried pressing the spacebar, the return key, the left and right arrows but nothing will change the windows drive to the linux drive. Can anyone tell me precisely and specifically how to make this change?

Logitech S520 Keyboard Loses Keystrokes
I have a cordless logitech s520. It's been used continuously for about 10 months now. The keyboard loses keystrokes or likes to switch keys on me. The mouse has completely lost the middle button and is sometimes non-responsive. I've replaced batteries with no luck, and moved the receiver closer. What would be a good upgrade from this, one that will last for more than a year?

Logitech Media Keyboard Elite Problem
I own a logitech 'media keyboard elite' and im running vista home prem x64 and it likes to sub characters in for certain keys sometimes. The weird thing is it will do it for one program and not another when it does screw up and it takes completely shutting down the program and restarting it to correct the problem. For instance in wow right now when i type / i get instead though its fine in ie when typing this post and wow is still running in the background. What is going on and how do i fix it and prevent it from happening again besides beating the board to a pulp and getting a new one ?

Logitech Illuminated Wireless Keyboard Missing Keystrokes
I know this is a common issue with wireless keyboards, but i'm wondering if anyone has had any issues with missing keystrokes on wired keyboards. The reason i ask is that i just got the new logitech "illuminated keyboard" and whenever i quickly type 4-letter words such as "can't, " "don't, " "won't, " "done, " etc, the keyboard (in all instances) doesn't register the last letter in the sequence. I've now tested 4 of these keyboards and have replicated the issue with each of them. I'm wondering if anyone has ever had these types of issues when switching to a new keyboard? Or, if maybe this particular keyboard has some type of design flaw that only affects people who type words at a certain speed.

Ps/2 Logitech Elite Keyboard Le - Key Respond Time Problem
I recently purchased a (rather cheap) ps/2 to usb converter, for use with my new laptop, which has no ps/2 ports. This adapter has two female connectors, for a ps/2 keyboard and mouse - i only use the keyboard portion, my preferred mouse is usb. It works great - except for this unusual (yet rather problematic) issue, when alternating keys being held down. If i hold one key down, then quickly hold another down and release the first - it will register that second key press for a split second, then pause for an undesirably long amount of time, and then register the keypress as i hold it down. Not particularly easy to explain. It's not so much an issue in everyday typing, but while gaming, it is quite irritating. For example, if i hold down the s key, and quickly press the d key, release the s key while continuing to hold d there is an noticeable delay for d to respond as being 'held down. '
I'm not quite sure what this could attribute to - i assume it's the adapter itself being rather cheap and poorly produced, but i hope there is something that can be done. The keyboard itself is fine when used on any other computer, there is no such delay - nor is there one on the laptop's standard keyboard. I'm running windows vista home premum, and the keyboard is a ps/2 logitech elite keyboard le (wired).

4 Port Kvm That Works With Logitech Mx500 Elite Keyboard
I'm having a tough time getting a straight answer on this one anywhere on the 'net, somebody recommend me a 4-port kvm (preferrably ps/2, since it may connect to an old server) that will work with these damn logitech products and their extra buttons! It would be nice if it had audio ports, but they are not a necessity. What *is* a necessity is that this thing doesn't take me out a couple hundred bucks, and the video quality is decent enough to run a dell 2005fpw on vga. Of course, easy switching would be nice as well, but my number one criteria is that it works flawlessly with my logitech products and all their extra buttons, and it doesn't often lockup, forcing me to reboot everything. Can anyone help me out, here?

Viewsonic Ku709 Usb Keyboard Problem With Logitech Ps2 Mouse
I just changed my old logitech keyboard with this new viewsonic ku709 keyboard (usb) and i found everytime i run full screen program my logitech mouse(ps2) will drop dead. Then i changed my keyboard back to my old ps2 logitech keyboard, and everything runs normaly. What's wrong with this? I've tried to install the driver for the new keyboard and new mouse driver from logitech website but the problem still there.

Logitech Mx3000 Cordless Desktop Not Working In Windows
I currently have a logitech mx3000 cordless desktop. Sometimes my computer freezes while playing games, and then when it reboots, the keyboard no longer works, only the mouse does. The receiver is currently connected via usb. However, if i switch usb ports, the keyboard starts working again. But the thing is it has to be a usb port the connector it hasn't used yet. If i connect it to one that the computer froze on, the keyboard doesn't work, even when trying to connect it. I press the connect button on the receiver, and then the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard, and it looks like it connected (the battery light flashes a few times), but it doesn't do anything when i press the keys. Is my keyboard or receiver defective?
When the keyboard is connected via a "dead" usb slot, it works to get to bios during booting, but once the windows log on screen comes up, it doesn't work anymore.

Keyboard Works In Windows Xp Pro But Not In Windows Vista
After cleaning up my hard drive yesterday, my keyboard would not work in vista ultimate 64bit. I tried 2 other keyboards. Neither of which would work either. 2 were ps2 keyboards and one was usb. Now, each keyboard was identified at post and would work in the bios. Now here is the really weird part. I decided i would go ahead and do a fresh intall of vista, as i was about due for it anyway. Just in case. I also cleared cmos just in case i somehow change something in the bios that was causing this (though i doubt it since the keyboard worked in bios). So, i reinstalled vista, and was able to use the keyboard to put in the activation key. So, i thought i was all set. However, once windows fully booted, none of the keyboards would work again. How is it possible that this problem carried over to a fresh install?
At this point, i became very frustrated. I decided to try installing windows xp pro. The xp installed, and now all of the keyboards work perfectly in windows. This would be fine, but i've got use to vista now, and would prefer to use it. Anyone have any idea what this might be? Could it have anything to do with installing vista too many times, so it started to disable functions.
