If you cannot find the right printer drivers manually i would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program i use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it. How To Reinstall Printer Driver?
Click on "start" in the bottom left of your screen from the desktop. Make sure all programs are closed. Right-click on "computer" and select "properties" from the pop-up window. If using windows xp, continue to step 3. Windows vista users, proceed to step 4. Xp users, click on the "hardware" tab in the properties window. Near the top of the next window you should see a button that says "device manager. " Click it and continue to step 5. Vista users, click "device manager" in the top left of the sidebar in the system information window. You will most likely be prompted by vista to continue or cancel. Click "continue. "
Locate your printers from the list of expandable hardware sections in the device manager window. Generally they will be under the ieee compatible hardware section. If the ieee section is not expanded, click on it to expand it. There may be more than one of these sections. You will need to locate each one. See the image here as a reference. If there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it next to what appears to be your printer drivers, skip to step 8. If not, continue with step 6. Right-click on any one of your printer driver instances. Select "properties" from the pop-up menu. Select the "driver" tab at the top of the properties window. Locate the "uninstall" button near the bottom of the window and select it. When prompted, click "ok" to continue. This will ensure that your driver is uninstalled. Return to the device manager window. Right-click on your printer instance from the device manager window. It should now have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it next to it. Select "update driver" from the pop-up menu. Select "yes, this time only" when prompted by the hardware update wizard as to how to update the driver. This will require an internet connection. Click "next. " Select "install the software automatically" and click "next. " This will automatically search the internet for the most current driver for your printer and install it. If it installs correctly, the yellow triangle should go away and you can repeat these steps for any other instances necessary. If it does not automatically install your driver, continue to step 10. Search for your printer make and model online with your usual search engine. Make sure you include the word "driver. " Locate a site with a download for the most updated driver for your printer. It should be from the manufacturer's website, but you can download from any reputable location. Save it to your desktop and follow the steps for uninstalling the problem driver if necessary. Close everything and double-click the driver icon on your desktop. To install, you can simply hit "enter" through the prompts. You do not need to modify the installation defaults. Once the installation has finished, your new drivers are in place.

I am trying to connect to a printer through a network to a 32-bit windows xp computer and it says "cannot locate driver" i can't find the driver on the internet that will work with this computer. So my friend has a problem with her lexmark 5400. She wants to install it to her mac but when she used the cd it worked but 2 problems popped up, 1) the driver might not work correctly cause it needed an update. 2) said something about putting the printer in the utilities list in which she did but nothing worked
I looked up some stuff and read that you should uninstall everything and download it from a lexmark website [but i fear of viruses] so i don't know whats a safe choice at the moment.

Bascially, i had 2 printers (standard printers) that needed to be accessible on a network. I have ran through the setup and was able to add 1 printer with out a problem (epson photo stylus r1900 series). Works a dream. However, i am having issues with the canon lbp5200. The print server says that it is offline, but its turned on and connected via usb to the print server. I know the print server sees the printer because it shows up in its list of available printers. But when i go to add it and try to print, it tells me 'the printer is connected to port which is not supported. Check the port'. No documentation anywhere regarding this. Neither printer is shown on their compatibility list (which appears to only list multi-function printers). However, the epson works. Any ideas anyone? I have reset/reconfigured a few times and still no joy.

Help With Driver
So awhile back (like, a few months) i was on my laptop and i opened up the action center. There were some updates and some downloads so i downloaded them but then i had to go to a dinner party so i just stopped the downloading. Then i forgot what happened but i turned it off and when i did the screen went white. I turned it back on after the dinner party and the screen resolution was messed up. I changed the screen resolution to its highest, but its still messed up. The screen is stretched horizontally and everytime i turn on or log on something pops up and says "this pc has no multiple-monitor support" (because sometimes my dad plugs in another monitor to the laptop) and when i go on itunes coverflow, all it has is black. It doesnt show the graphics/album artwork. Also, when i go on computer games like sims 3, simcity societies, etc. The screen goes white and a message says something about not being able to play because the screen resolution and graphic card is (blahblahlbah i forgot the rest). So i need some help. And i tried going to dell and i found the download for mobile internet(r) 965 chipset family. I tried downloading it but a message pops up saying something like "no driver is selected. Please select a device first" then the downloader closes. Please help? And try to explain thoroughly because i rarely know about technical engineering and computer-type things

I am trying to install windows vista 64 bit. It says "which type of installation do you want" i pick custom setup. Then it says "where do you want to install windows" the list is empty. "No driver found. Click load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation" to install, insert the installation media containing the driver files. Where can i get the installation media containing the driver files?

10.2 Driver Issue
Anyone who has the 10. 2's, have their windows change the theme to vista basic randomly, and then back to aero at random? This happened for the first time last night, and it also happened to a friend with 10. 2 also. While it was in windows basic, the fans would keep revving up and down. Was rather odd. Edit: also, i got a crash in forged alliance for the first time, i had all horizontal lines through the game screen, then i alt tabbed out and back in, and it was a solid grey screen. Had to end the game process. Never had that happen on anything below 10. 2, and i play that game a lot.
