Answer:- not legally. Apple manufactures their own motherboards, which are different from those found in standard pcs. Apple motherboards don't have a bios, and they have a security chip. If the os doesn't find that chip, it won't install or run. There is no legal way around this. Emulation won't work - all legit makers of virtual machine technology, vmware included, have signed legal agreements with apple stating that they will not attempt apple hardware emulation. Apple's legal team is pretty good. You can buy a mac mini. They're pretty cheap, can run windows as well as mac os, and you can use your existing monitor, mouse and keyboard with it.

Mac Mini Or Hp Desktop
I am undecided with choosing a desktop for school, but will mostly be used for music, photos and from time to time homework. I have a laptop that i do most of my school stuff on and then the desktop is for the "fun stuff" my question is, should i buy the hp pavilion p6510f desktop for $440 (which includes michigan's tax) or buy a base mac mini for the $687(including tax). I love apple and i love microsoft (and hp) so i'm pretty torn. Do you think the extra 200+ dollars is worth it?

How to get a stuck disc out of a mac desktop?
1. First of all make sure that the cd drive is not in use by pressing altogether activity monitor. It's in /applications/ utilities. In the utilities folder there's an app called activity monitor. In mac os x, a windowed process (application program) can be killed with the force quitŠ command in the apple menu (option-command-escape, ¥, ¥ opt+ cmd+esc). The activity monitor application (in /applications/utilities) can be used to quit or force-quit any other process, including invisible processes and applications belonging to other users. 2. I don't have a mac but a windows desktop. But i suppose the disposition of the cd/dvd drive is the same. Now, get a sharp knife with no teeth (not a steak knife but a vegetable knife) and with lots of caution, use the lame to gently (very gently) place it on top of the eject device to bring it towards you. You may be lucky and have not broken the cd. If it doesn't work from the top, try the sides. It should help to unblock it. 3. You may also try to use your knife to set the cd inside the drive more in the centre in order to rectify the problem. But that can be delicate as you could spoil your cd.

Answer:- you can reinstall windows with the recovery media for your desktop, or you can purchase another copy of windows and install it yourself. Or you can switch to linux and install it yourself. You can have a friend do these things as well. You can also pay a repair technician to do one of these things. If you have to send your computer back to dell, they will only reinstall the copy of windows that the unit came with when it was new. Reinstalling your os yourself, or having a friend do it, or having a technician do it, or changing operating systems will not void your warranty.

It's not old, but it's not new, i've been using it for a few years, and it suddenly got the "blue screen of death", and my mom was fiddling with it and i don't know what she did with it but. Once i turn it on, it goes right to a black screen and says. "Strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for setup utility". I clicked f1, and it just says it again and makes a little beeping noise. I've searched osx86 forums for anything on the dell mini 1012, still no fix on the graphics. It will work, but lower resolution and slow graphics.

It works perfectly fine of windows but i could not find any drivers for the printer to be installed on mac. Now, i have read many forums all telling me that this printer is a windows-based printer that cannot be used but i was wondering if there was a way to install the .exe file for the printer on mac so that it would start working. (I have the disk that the printer came with and i was wondering if there was any way of installing with that). Desktop Does Not Fit In Screen - Scrolling Desktop
I just bought a new laptop and i am changing everything to what i like - which includes the size of the resolution of my screen. Whenever i go to change the resolution from 800 x 600 to make it look bigger (example: 1024 x 768) my laptop has no problems doing that but instead of making the whole desktop fit into my laptop screen, it makes it so i can sorta of like scroll up, down, left, right to see the rest of the screen (but there aren't any scroll bars, they are like invisible if u know what i mean). How do i change the setting so that the whole screen resolution will fit into my laptop screen instead of this scrolling method?

Me and my friend got into an argument about wither or not a computer can run without software, i say it can, he says it can't. I say it can because how else was the first software ever made. So my question is: can a computer run stand alone? Someone help us settle this argument.

Can I Run 4 Monitors On 5870 ?
Obviously not in eyefinity mode, but is it possible to run 4 monitors when you are in a desktop environment? I have an hdtv on the wall above my setup and would like to use it for movies. So does it work and just disable during eyefinity?
